Sharp, Powerful, and Easy to Use
The Cuisinart electric knife works perfectly for slicing everything from bread to roasts. It’s lightweight, comfortable to hold, and the blade cuts smoothly without tearing. Cleanup is quick, and the design feels sturdy and well-made.✅ Pros:– Sharp blade slices cleanly and effortlessly– Comfortable grip and lightweight design– Great for bread, meats, and even large roasts– Easy to assemble and operate– Blade removes easily for cleaning❌ Cons:– None so far—works exactly as expected💡 Tips:– Let the blade do the work—no need to press hard– Great for holiday meals, BBQs, and bread slicing– Hand wash the blade to keep it sharp longer🧠 Bottom Line:If you want an electric knife that’s sharp, reliable, and easy to use, the Cuisinart electric knife is an excellent choice. It makes slicing faster, cleaner, and much easier—highly recommended!

The Bomb!
I used the ole Black n Decker $25 knife for a few years. The primary purpose is to thinly slice grilled chicken breast. It worked fine, but the trigger was garbage and finally quit working. There are so many great cordless tools/appliances out there and I thought why not a cordless electric knife. So without breaking the bank I purchased one with good reviews for less than $50. What a disappointment. Maybe fine for slicing a few veggies, but not for the weekly chicken breasts. Would it do it, sure but slow and had a flimsy blade. I decided to go back to corded knife and checked the reviews. This one had mostly good reviews. It was twice the price of the cheap ones but I decided to give it a try. Never thought an electric knife would make me smile every time I use it. Twice as good as the old black n decker and four times better than the cordless that I paid the same price for. Powerful motor. Strong, stiff blade. Ergonomic handle (some reviews said it was too bulky. I’m an average sized guy and have zero issue). This is a great knife. Highly recommend over the cheap corded knives and the mid-priced cordless knives. Not sure about the expensive cordless knives. If this one ever dies I will replace it with the same knife 💪🏻

Works well for me, and fits the stand after minor surgery
When my old GE electric knife died, it was a sad day. My 30-year-old knife had served me well, but when the motor failed, it was done and I had to find an appropriate replacement. Of all that I found, I like the design of this product best. I read lots of reviews, both good and bad, and read product comparisons through many articles and decided to take a chance on this product. I've not really used it much yet, but so far it's meeting my expectations. One of the things I like best is how the safety switch works... unlike other knives that require you to depress a slide button in the trigger each time you start the knife, this one clicks and stays in a locked or unlocked position, just like my old GE. If I had to use two hands to unlock the switch each time I started the knife, I would be throwing it out in short order. Safety is important, but overall usability is why we choose products. As everyone else has said, the knife motor section simply doesn't fit in its holder in the knife block. After looking at the block for about 1 minute, it became quite clear that the plastic "holder" for the back end of the knife was not made to fit the shape or contour of the knife end. I read where others removed the plastic block, drilled new holes and moved it downward on the block about 1/2 an inch to accommodate the handle, but that would impact the blade holder as well, making it ineffective. After close inspection, one can see that the area that cradles the rear of the knife is actually a plastic insert, and it's shape suggests that it was designed for the previous version of this knife. I removed the two screws holding the plastic block onto the wooden block, then easily removed this plastic insert from the knife block, then reinstalled the plastic block onto the wooden block. The knife now fits perfectly.I'm currently giving this product 4 stars because of the design flaw with the knife block. I find that inexcusable. I'll update my post after the holiday season, when this knife undergoes a real performance test.

Quality and works well
This knife replaced an electric knife lost in a house fire.I first purchased a different brand, a Hamilton Beach Model 74275, that was unsatisfactory. It didn't cut as well as this unit and felt unbalanced, but worse the Hamilton Beach has a blade release button right where one's thumb rests when using the device In my opinion this design is a safety hazard and at a minimum made the knife almost unusable for me.I also tried using a well-reviewed, regular carving knife as a replacement for my electric knife, but I'm frankly not good enough with a knife to make that a viable choice. On to the review of the Cuisinart CEK-40 Electric Knife...The Cuisinart is a high quality product. It feels high quality, that is, solid with good materials. In use it cuts easily through turkeys at holidays, which is my normal use for the product. The knife has good balancer in use and is quiet. The blades are easy to remove for washing but are unlikely to be removed accidently. The knife also comes with blades to cut bread. I haven't used the knife in that application but the bread cutting blades look very solid and well made. The limitation of this review for the reader is that I've only used the knife at Thanksgiving and Christmas to carve turkeys. Those to me are pressure sorts of situations, which may seem silly, but I rarely carve meat and want it to go well. This knife helped me to make it go well. I can't comment on durability. The knife looks very well made. It comes with a nice holder to help keep it out of harms way in a drawer.I would purchase this product again. This product would make a very nice gift and is in a reasonable price range.
