Q: Can anyone tell me the diameter of the pole? Also does the pole screw into the table clamp mount with threads?

The Diameter of the pole is 35mm. The pole screws into the table clamp with threads.

Q: is there an exchangeable 'through desk' plate that can be replaced for the 'G Clamp'?

There is a plate that can be used with desks with a "cable through" hole for most standard type office desks.

Q: What is the measurement of the clamp? I.E the distance between pole and the back of the monitor/how far out does the monitor protrude?

From the back of the clamp to the back of my monitor (so, including the pole and some small - maybe 5mm - spacers) is approximately 14cm (140mm). From the side of the pole nearest the back of the monitor to the back of the monitor is 8.5cm. I say "approximately" because measuring it meant standing on a chair - no mean feat for a chunky boi like me - to see over my top monitor. It should be noted that the clamp does have some tilt and swivel adjustment in it, but the 14cm measurement was with the clamp pretty straight. I think that the photos on the product page that show the mount size and manoeuvrability show how the clamp extends both sides of the pole quite well.

Q: I only have the one monitor for the moment. It looks like the pole is made out of two parts, if so, can you remove the top one?

Yeah there is a collar to attach both together so just don’t join them together and use the bottom part 👍
