Easy to install
Very easy to install. Just install the base first on the ceiling with a couple of screws and then the detector fits right in on the base. When the battery gets low, it gives a warning beeping sound so I know when to change out the battery.

Go with replacable batteries.
I like these detectors because they use re-replaceable batteries. I replace several 10 year lithium battery detectors that quit after 4 years.

El producto coincide exactamente con la descripción. Muy satisfecho con mi compra.
Carbon monoxide (CO) is the leading cause of accidental poisoning deaths in America, yet many people don't know they are suffering from CO poisoning until it's too late. Since symptoms of CO poisoning are like the flu, you might not even know you're in danger at first. That's why a carbon monoxide alarm is an excellent way to protect your family. It can detect the CO you can't see, smell or taste in the air. One convenient alarm helps protect against two deadly household threats. Includes a voice alarm with location, when programmed, voice tells you location of unit if smoke or carbon monoxide is detected.

It says 7 year warranty on this unit, so I'll see. Many CO detectors are only 5 yrs, but you can find higher quality ones (not avail on Amazon) that are good for 10 yrs and have dual sealed non-replaceable batteries (so install and forget for a decade). I bought this because it does both CO & smoke. I have a CO detector by our bedrooms that displays CO readings in real time above 11ppm, which is superior to this. Even low levels of CO is hazardous, and govt regs specify an alarm to sound only if >30ppm, not lower levels."}},{"@type":"Question","name":"Can the voice part not be used (says programmable)? alarm/beep only?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"I really wish it were. No, it will always use the bellowing voice. You can program which area the device is in, such as hallway or bedroom so the alarm will identify where the trouble is. Read the reviews carefully and believe them when they say it goes of randomly in the early hours and runs its test mode at 3am. I literally threw mine down the street at 3am after it went off for no reason the 4th night in a row."}}]}]}
