Sometimes things can have surprising alternate uses.
I used this for doing some home zinc plating. It worked very well as the anode in my small tank. There's a lot left over so I may even use it someday for flashing, its intended purpose.

Works Great. Easy to install.
I had a major moss problem on my roof which will eat through your shingles long term. This is how I fixed it.First, I sprayed moss killer and waited a few weeks for it to die. Then, I used a garden hose to hose it clean (make sure you spray the direction of the shingles). Final step was to use galvanized roofing nails to nail on the zinc armor. The moss hasn't returned.

Install with adhesive NOT nails
No need to destroy your roof installing this zinc strip. Odds are your existing roof shingles are already sealed together making it impossible to underlay the roofing nails for the strip without risking real damage prying up the shingles. We used clear gorilla glue adhesive instead to bond the zinc strip to the roof and then temporarily held the strip in place with duct tape. Remove the tape the following day after the adhesive has cured and you're good to go. You will need two people for this install, one to unroll and hold the zinc strip and the other to apply the adhesive and press the strip. Snug the zinc strip right up to and below the top shingle row edge so rainwater will not be impeded. Have A LOT of rags handy to wipe away excess adhesive.

good product
I was concerned about the thickness of the zinc but was pleasantly surprised that it is nearly as thick as aluminum step flashing so it was quite easy to slide up under my shingles close to the ridge. I am hoping it works over the summer to help keep moss / mold / lichen under control, especially on the north sides of the roof.

WORKS GREAT
Had heavy algae and moss growing into and over asphalt shingles of my house because roof is shaded by a very large live oak. Tried various chemicals but they only worked temporarily. Installed Zinc Armour strips as per directions, and within a month you could see changes in the growth. Has been a over a year since I installed it and ALL the moss and algae is gone. WORKS GREAT.

It can work in Seattle with shade trees around the house but...
So first I bought $30 worth of bleach from Costco (18 gallons) and put it in a spray bottle and sprayed down my roof right after it rained. The next weekend I went back up on the roof with a garden hose and sprayed off all of the stuff that had died on my roof. Then every 6 feet I put a strip across my roof. It worked. How I came up with every 6 feet is the previous year I had a few strips of zinc left around so I put it up on the roof in different places. Figured out the effective distance it can cover since how it works is the zinc is leached out of the strip when it rains and washes down the roof. Where I live every 6 feet did the trick and I have not gone back up to deal with the growth.

Not as good as expected
This does have some effect but not as much as I expected I think it is best if you install this when you have a new roof as a preventive measure. I had to use your roof cleaner to get rid of all the Moss completely and even overtime some still comes back.
