Melissa & Doug Shopping Cart - Highly Recommend!
Can't express how much our family loves Melissa & Doug products. Their quality is unsurpassed, lasts through loads of play time, very durable, and everyone enjoys playing together...including the adults. Purchased this set as a birthday present for my grandson/nephew ... our family went together to get the whole set up. Highly Recommend!

It's a great learning tool when going to the gracery store
I would like to address the rust or mold. That was not an issue for me and with the many probably sold with over 9,000 ratings on Amazon.....and we all know how many of the thousands sold on Amazon and an handful of issues regarding the mold and rust.No one wants to deal with these types of issues but you need to look at the larger picture here.I really like this shopping cart. My daughter had one when she was 2 years old in 1991. I purchased this one for my granddaughter who is a one year old.I believe some of the negative reviews regarding safety may be questionable. Why are children using this metal shopping cart at home and running into walls and furniture? I'm not sure why parents would allow this or where are the parents when the children have access to this item which is clearly made and constructed to be used in a shopping environment and not in home.I'm sure parents have indoor toys for playtime just like they have outdoor toys which are not used indoors. This shopping cart is fun and can be used as a learning tool for the child but it's suppose to be used at the grocery store or other shopping venues and not outside in the yard or dirt or on uneven surfaces or in the house. This really makes no sense to me to complain how unsafe an item is when clearly it is not being used properly for the use it is designed to be used. It's made out of heavy-duty material and will do damage and parents should be aware which toys and learning tool-toys should be used indoors, outdoors, and other places. You would not allow children to use their baseball bats, footballs or soccer balls to have full-blown activity in your home. This is not rocket science.Example: This is an oldie but a goodie and only one example of not practicing common sense:Someone purchased a hot coffee beverage from a very large, well-known fast-food establishment and placed the coffee between their legs in their vehicle. That was the first lack-of-common sense decision. They proceeded to sue the company because the coffee was too hot and they had burns on their flesh between their legs when they proceeded to drive and and squeezed the cup and popped the lid off. Now, had they burned their mouth then I might buy into this but they placed it between their legs while driving. This is not brain surgery. if one does not have enough sense NOT to place it between their legs while driving then maybe getting burned will teach a lesson..........but if not, then they are in for some real treats in life if they keep using these practices in there life. But no one is to blame because practiced poor judgement. We need to be responsible human beings and parents. We are suppose to be teaching these skills to our children.I totally get it why parents are having "safety" issues with this shopping cart. It's pretty similar to why we do not stick our fingers into light sockets or take a bath with plugged in electrical appliances like blow dryers and curling irons within reach or proximity of that bathtub of water. One could be electrocuted..........it's a safety issue.Enjoy your day! Stay safe!

This is how all toys should be made!
Just got the cart for my 1YO daughter and right out of the box it’s apparently clear that this toy is built with quality and durability in mind. It’s a lot heavier than I expected it to be, which is a great thing, as my daughter is still learning to walk with assistance and I think it’s very improbable that she’ll be able to tip it. It rolls smoothly and the front wheels have a spring mechanism that will stop it from moving if there’s too much weight inside the cart (what an awesome idea!). As for durability, this thing is SOLID and will probably outlast generations to come. They simply do not make toys like this anymore and it’s amazing to see a company putting out quality toys like this in today’s day and age.

Worth The Price
This is ADORABLE! My grandson loves it. He loves zooming through the house filling it with toys. He is 2 and a half years old and this is the perfect size for him. It was easy to assemble, and very durable.
