Works great with Cuisinart 20 cm, 4 qt pan, love it!
I already had the Cuisinart French Tri-ply 4qt (20 cm) pan, and Cuisinart doesn't make a steamer for their beautiful French tri-ply pan set, so the question was the Chef's Classic, or the or the Multi-clad (this one). I ordered one of each and compared. They are currently the same price, from my examination, they are identical except for the handle - neither of which match the French triply, of course, but they are very similar handles in structure to each other, the end appearance differs - one is straight edges with a square hanging hole, the other has a taper with a round portion at the end, around the round hanging hole. Both are stainless steel, and no, this multi-clad is NOT made of multi-clad material, but it has the multi-clad set matching handle. It is straight-up stainless, which may have a tiny effect on heat distribution from the steam, but I doubt it would significantly affect performance as a steamer. It also eliminates any possibility of "sharp edges syndrome" from long term washing in the dishwasher - so not a worry with either steamer. It can be washed in the dishwasher, but cleanup with a sponge and soap is a breeze, so take your pick. These stack onto the 4 quart beautifully for storage, and has ridges to fit 2 smaller sized pots. Other users have commented that using the smaller pots feels "tippy". I can understand that apprehension from the appearance of the set-up, but in my tests, the steamer set solidly on the smaller pot, and the weight of the Cuisinart French Tri-ply pots is sufficient to balance these steamers adequately. As I have the 4qt pot, I may rarely need to use the smaller pot for this function, but I would feel comfortable doing so, especially since the smaller burners appropriate for the smaller pots are at the back of my range, where they are less likely to be bumped accidentally. The bonus is that these stack together VERY securely, first for storing, and even more importantly for steaming multiple items separately, and at the same time exactly like a stacked bamboo steamer frequently used in Asian cooking. It works GREAT, so, I am pitching my difficult to clean bamboo steamer stack, and keeping both of these, and buying a third!😁, so just need to decide which handle for the third one🧐🤣.

Works Fine with 2 & 3 QT Cuisinart French Classic Saucepans
After finding that Cuisinart does not offer or plan to offer a steamer insert for their French Classic line of sauce pans, and also having them tell me that the 20cm steamer would not fit, I read a review indicating that it worked with a Revere Ware pot, which happens to be the same diameter as the French Classic 2 & 3 quart sauce pans. The insert fits perfectly on the smallest tier of the stepped bottom, its stable, and, while the handle does not match, its close enough so that it does not clash either. Same for the lid, its obviously a cheaper lid, but looks very similar. Its well made with smooth rivet heads, a good unit for the price.I just ordered a second one.

This matches my stainless steel cookware.
It fits in multiple sized pans. My cookware set is 5- ply stainless but did not come with a steamer insert which is a must in my kitchen. This visually matches my set and works well. It cleans well as long as you know how to treat stainless steel. I prefer to hand wash my stainless steel. However I believe this can be put in a dishwasher.

This steamer works great, it's light weight and its easy to clean ...
I bought this steamer about a year ago to use with a couple of different models of Cuisinart pots which I already owned. It's now one of the most used cooking utensils in my kitchen. The lid handle will get a bit hot, so don't use your bare hand when lifting to serve right after cooking. This steamer works great, it's light weight and its easy to clean up. Tonight I dined on a mixture of brussels sprouts, turnips, gold potatoes, onion and garlic with a bit of pepper (skip the salt) and some butter. Yum! Trust my word, steamed vegetables are much more flavorful than any other cooking method. If you make your own soup, the steaming process results in a vegetable broth that you can also freeze and store to use as a soup base rather than buying the canned stuff. Enjoy!

5 quart pot fine, also no wobble
After reading many of the other reviews before buying, I can say that fits my 4 quart Cuisinart MCP perfectly - it feels solid on there with no wobble at all. It also fits my 1.5 quart pot fine, also no wobble, but it doesn't feel quite as secure as my 4 quart. Overall, it gets job done, and I've never had any trouble with it, however, it does not feel in quite the same 'build quality realm' as my other Cuisinart MCP gear.

Flexible
The great thing about this steamer is that it fits several pot sizes and works well.

I love Cuisinart and I have been buying their pots and ...
I love Cuisinart and I have been buying their pots and pans for years. This steamer is beautiful and solid, the stainless steel is of a very good quality. I really like that it can be placed on pots of different sizes. I recently used it on a fairly small pot, and it still steamed the vegetables perfectly. Buy Cuisinart!

Nice sturdy variable size steamer
Well made, sturdy, long handle, fits several size pans. I once owned a set of "Waterless" stainless steel cookware, very nice. That set included a steamer basket like this one and I loved it. This one reminds me of that other one I had, so I am sure I will love this one as well. Just received it yesterday and have not used it yet, but foresee no problems. It fits two different size pans that I have.
