Knopf Guide: New York (Knopf Guides)

Every Knopf guide is my favorite for its location - great cross-references on history, art, architecture, nature, customs of the area. This is a ten year old guide with decade-old prices and hotel/restaurant information, but otherwise a superb guide to Manhattan and good enough to the other boroughs. I found it like-new, as a gift for a friend heading to New York for his first visit. He returned absolutely delighted with Knopf's help.

I purchased this guide book for my dad. He loves to travel and also has a nice library he has been trying to fill up. He told me how much he enjoys the Knopf guides for their information but also their great pictures so I went ahead and purchased guides for many of the popular cities and countries. He has them all beautifully arranged on his library shelves. The spines of the guides look great!

I have purchased seversal of the Knopf Guides and am absolutely fascinated by the indepth information and pictures they contain. I would recommend them to everyone who enjoys travelling.

These Knopf Guides are fantastic. They are beautiful little books, they are not quick guides, they are conscious and indepth. The images are well presented and the text highly informative. This book on New York is especially good, New York is unique and lends itself well to a guide of this kind. Highly recommended.
