STAR BRITE Durable Clear Teak Sealer - One-Coat Coverage for All Fine Woods - Lasts Longer Than Traditional Oils - Clear Color - 1 GAL (096800)

I used this sealer on teak Adirondack chairs that I have had for years. It was easy to apply and the chairs look wonderful. I used about half the can which covered two large chairs and a small table. I did put two coats on the top of the furniture before reading the instructions that indicated one coat (my bad). I bought the "clear" version and it just soaks into the wood without adding any color. We've had a couple of rain storms and so far the furniture hasn't water marked. Nice product!

This product is overpriced. I applied two coats of this product on my brand new outdoor Teak table and chairs following the directions on the lable to the tee. First and second rainfalls within 1 month were fine water beaded up and didn't penetrate the finish. However, the third rainfall a month later, soaked into the wood and mold started to grow and the woodgrain started to raise (This wasn't one of those cheap,big box store, teak sets). Now the set looks terrible and it's only been out on our deck for two months.

Looks like a good sealer. It left the color natural. Longevity TBD, but reviews are good.

I bought my first gallon before this one and ran out. I applied this to my teak deck and it looks amazing and should last 1-2 years. But when I used a second gallon for the other half it came out darker for some reason. I shook and mixed both cans thoroughly so don't know why it came out darker. I bought both Clear so hoping it fades a little to look like the first half.

It went on beautifully and then dried to look like the starting wood but with a nice clean finish. Overall happy with the look. IT DID NOT CHANGE the color of the wood on our older piece.

So I'm not sure what went wrong but after reading reviews on here and this being at the top of the top ten teak sealants in 2022 I bought two versions of this and the clear has has been a major disappointment it isn't holding up it never had a hydroponic capabilities like the no drop one and is already wearing off. Proper prep was done and followed the instructions.

I added the sealer per instructions to my 1 month old teak table and chairs and water is not beading up per the photo. A little disappointed in that regard. Product is very watery so drop cloths are required. Hopefully the table will not turn black as we want to continue the honey color when new.
