Q: Are the front compartments removable? I have short arms and a chest pack can sometimes be cumbersome I'm about 5'2 150lbs would you recommend this on

none of the compartments are removable. I found the design to be excellent, however, even at the tightest adjustment it is large for me. I think it was designed for a larger person, or to be worn over a wading jacket. I'm 5'-8 and 44 chest, weight 190 and it is large for me.
