SummitSRG-445 Replacement Mirror Glass (Fits on rhs of vehicle)

This was easy to fix to the mirror housing. First the area where the original had dropped out was cleaned with methylated spirit. Because the outside temperature was below the recommended level, the mirror housing and the replacement mirror were gently warmed with a hot air gun on a low setting and holding the gun well away from the item. When both were warm and dry to the touch the mirror was applied, taking care to align it correctly. Pressure was applied with a dry cloth and the mirror was firmly fixed. Despite being out in frost and rain since then, there has been no loosening or movement. I definitely recommend this product.

Manufacturer says this is the mirror for my mum's 2002 Astra (mk IV).It's not - it doesn't fit. It is about half a cm too high, so it doesn't fit in the inner housing. If you try putting it over the top and bottom lip then the sticky pad doesn't reach the housing to stick.I just compared it with the other side to get the orientation right and peeled off for sticking on. Make sure you leave the sticky pad on and actually check the fitting so you can return it if it doesn't fit yours either.

The mirror is of nice quality, however its wide angle properties are minimal. It is almost flat and has nothing like the original Vauxhall field-of-view. I returned it for another make.

I was extremely pleased with this product, it was exactly as described and the service was excellent, as was the packaging.

The description says the glass is curved for better view of blind spots however it looks completely flat to me. I have used replacement glass/mirrors before and this is not one of the better ones for field of vision however its good quality otherwise and is still stuck to the mirror which is the main thing.
