Was apprehensive about the authenticity as it was half the price of the other selling . But Lion and amazon proved me wrong. This saffron arrived in beautiful package that it can be given as gift as it is. It is packed in a small white box with bubble wrap over it so it will be moisture free stored. I used saffron for making Kheer and also for rice biryani. This saffron has perfect aroma and very pretty color. Overall this is an excellent quality saffron pack and current price of less than 300 rs I paid .

The real saffron and not a colored fake one!!!!
This is truly the real saffron and not a colored fake one that i have seen before this saffron when placed in water gives off a deep yellow color and the flavor is very unique the taste has a hint of spice not overly strong but very noticeable. Saffron will never give color instantly in water at room temperature. I have placed a few maybe 7-10 strings in rice while the water is boiling which when completed gives a savory and delicious taste and my kids love it. I have also placed a few of the strings same amount in boiling water for mashed potatoes and i will tell you Not that the water is such a deep hew yellow and when mashing the potatoes the out come is a beautiful and flavorful dish. I have even tried it when making gravy and even that is delicious and unique tasting. I have yet to try it as a tea but plan on doing so very soon.
