Dr. Martens Men's 3989 Brogue

Brilliant docs just as in shop but at a better price here for the green pair.I am 52 and have worn docs for years. This time I went up a size as with my last pair (bought from Amazon, black patent) I had noticed they felt right across the front of my right foot. This foot has widened - with age! Going up a size was a good decision, the new boots fit fine, only took s few days to wear in (wear thick socks). I now wear them regularly alternating with a black pair for work. They are so comfortable and look great. I mostly wear them with short vintage style dresses or skirts and black tights.Ordering and delivery were seamless. Boots came in proper doc martens wrapping and box, complete with spare yellow laces. Parcel arrived wrapped in plastic packing two days earlier than expected

I bought these boots and instantly was taken back to my youth days of the 1960's when they were first produced. I thought they would have changed a little but not at all. These as still as comfortable as they were then. The leather is soft and supple and they take little breaking in. I well buy another pair so I can alternate them. Using leather balm instead of shoe polish nobody would know you are wearing Docs instead of shoes(unless you tell them). Now I am in my 60's I am care-free youth again when I wear my Docs, all I need now is a thigh length jacket with a black velvet collar and I will be happy.

These boots look great and I do love them, but the quality difference between this and the pair I bought 15 years ago is astonishing. I can see this pair lasting a while, but not going the distance like my last (much-mourned) pair of 1460s. Though I suppose everything else has gotten worse, why not Dr Martens too?

This is my first pair of Dr Martens 1460 I've owned (although I share my girlfriends as we are both size 6) and I can safely say they are some of the best boots you can get. They're durable, look good, come in a variety of colours/styles, although when you first start wearing them they can give you blisters (like any other shoe) but don't let that put you off as they don't once you have bedded them in.Ignore reviews that say the made in thailand/vietnam Docs aren't as good. Mine say made in Thailand on them, and they may not be made like the ones made in England and are cheaper but they are still Dr Martens and still a great boot! :-)

Amazing product

I bought these boots as i was looking for something comfortable and strdy to wear on my 3 mile daily walk to work.These have proved to be just the thing. Good quality leather and well made.They take a little breaking in but nothing too much.The colour is really nice too. Not a bright green but not bottle green either. perfect with black jeans.

Prompt delivery. Contacted by seller and advised of slight difference in style of boot ordered to that pictured. Tried to cancel order but it had already dispatched. No problem in the end my daughter still liked them.

Just what we ordered. I had read the reviews regarding size and that was very helpful so we went 1/2 size smaller and they are perfect. Original Dr Martens logo in the shoe and son is a very happy chappy. Would recommend wearing them in a bit as they are quite rigid around the back of the shoe but apart from that perfect.
