Great product to alleviate knee pain while sleeping
I have advanced osteoarthritis & loss of knee cartilage for which I've been sleeping with a small pillow between my knees for several years. The pressure of my knees on each other if I sleep on my side is very painful when I wake up.. I saw this product & figured it's a worth a try. Very convenient & effective. One knee pad is sufficient for that purpose. I just position the pad a little to the inside. The padding is thick enough making it unnecessary to have one for each knee. Pillows slide out where this does not. Great for traveling as it takes up much less room in a suitcase. If you didn't bring a small pillow along, the ones at hotels are cumbersome to try to place between the knees. This has enough padding to alleviate that pressure on the knees. Stays in place & doesn't slide out during the night. It is also small & convenient enough to travel with.

No more bruises!
I bought the product because I bruise easily and after losing a lot of muscle mass recently, the weight of one leg on top of the other while I slept was leaving me with bruises inside my knees and shins. I toss and turn and though pillows feel good when I'm going to sleep, they never stayed in place.I measured twice and ordered once. Even so, the sleeve seems to be too big as both the top and bottom edges have too much material to conform to my leg but the part around the actual knee fits well and the whole thing stays in place. After two months, the padding has compressed a little but it still works well enough at distributing the weight of my leg so there's no bruising.

Performs as I expected
I am 60 years old and was having trouble sleeping when on my side with my knees together. I was going to have my wife make me something out of foam and a ace bandage and then I found this and it works great! In fact I ended up buying another one for our weekend house. I am 180lbs and the foam does wear down some but it has relieved my pain from my knees rubbing together. I have had the first one for about 6 months and it is still holding up fine. I have only wore one at a time on just one leg but I could see the benefit of wearing one on both legs if you are a little over weight it would give you better support and maybe offer relief from back pain too. Make sure you measure your leg about 5.5 inches above your knee to get the right size and there is a top and bottom when wearing it. The elastic does not bother me like some other reviews but it is not as tight on top as the bottom is for me but it stays in place just fine. No more fighting to keep a pillow between my knees!

Works as Described
I did return this item. It works as advertised so, I'm still giving it 3 stars. It stays on and in position. I used the size guide, and the size I ordered fit me-I was in the middle of the range. Unfortunately it is not comfortable for someone who sleeps with a bend in the knee (about 45 degrees). The compression used to hold it in place seemed too tight & formed a crease at the back of my knees that was uncomfortable. It probably works better if you sleep with your legs straight or with only a slight bend in the knee. I also found the elastic to be a bit harsh.

Not comfortable
The wrapping material is very coarse, stiff and harsh-feeling on your skin. I woke up after night 1 and noticed that the skin on the back of my knee was all red. 2nd night it was so painful that I took it off and threw it away after wearing it maybe an hour. I definitely got the correct size because it slipped right on and was easily adjustable.

Beware
This device does adequately pad knees and improve alignment, however, it is too constricting. I am 6 feet tall, 155 pound male with slender legs and purchased the medium, following the chart's recommendation. It felt snug the first couple of nights but nothing too uncomfortable and did not cut off blood supply. After a few nights I noted some minor puffiness in my foot. By day 10 the swelling was more pronounced and was accompanied by numbness in the foot. After stopping wearing the pad the swelling has gone away.Although this pad does not cut off arterial blood supply to the foot, nor does it stop venous blood return from the foot, it does cut off normal lymph fluid drainage from the foot. I do not have any vascular health problems or any medical problems for that matter.Anyone with circulation problems of any kind should avoid this type of product that acts like a tourniquet and is potentially cable of causing real problems.

Superior relief to advertised knee pillows.
I have a lot of arthritic knee pain that wakes me multiple times during sleep. I've tried a regular pillow between my knees and two different pre-shaped knee pillows. The pre-shaped pillow are too bulky and tend to hurt my hips. The regular pillow has to be repositioned with turning, so it results in waking from a sound sleep to turn. This is the first item that I've found that provides pretty good comfort. I hate elastic and I have to say, they put minimal elastic to be bothersome. Additionally, the cushion stays in place. Overall, I've had improved sleep and much less knee pain in the mornings. I think finding the right knee pillow is a personal choice. I'm sure the curved out knee pillow work for some, but not for me. This cushion is very easy to use and really works! I am unable to comment about the longevity, but it looks like an easy to wash item. It feels like cotton and the cushion is soft but firm and sewn into place. I recommend sizing per the directions listed. I initially thought about buying the largest size but measured myself and ordered the large and it fit perfectly.
