Q: I'm confused with the answers about what size baskets these filters fit. Some say 4-cups, some say 8-12 cups. (I have a 4-cup machine.)

This particular filter is 8-12 cups, This brand also has other styles. You need to find the style that fits a 4 cup machine.

Yes they do! I had a hard time finding the unbleached as well! They work for my Mr. Coffee 4 cupper!It's an old model - maybe 2005 or so.....is this helpful to you? Enjoy the unbleached flavor of the brew! Yes they are flat bottomed as previous reviewer mentioned!!!

Q: Where are the filters made?

There is writing on the box that says 'product of Germany'.

Q: Are they biodegradable?

I put them in my compost heap, where they do break down quite quickly.
