Excellent sound & saved $$$
First, the most difficult part of this entire process was getting the speakers out of my car. I had to remove the entire door panel to get at them. It was a bit unnerving but it worked and I didn't break anything. Read and understand the directions before beginning the process. Removing and cleaning the old foam wasn't difficult, it just took time. I scraped off the old foam using the backside of a knife on the metal ring. On the actual speaker I just left the residual foam because I was scared of cutting or damaging the cone. Spolier alert: leaving the foam residue on the cone turned out just fine. I did use a solvent to clean the old glue off the metal ring. Again, I used no solvent on the cone. Glueing the new rings on was very easy. The rings fit my speakers perfectly. No trimming was required. It's a multi-step process so again, read and understand the directions. There was plenty of glue and it was easy to work with. After each step the glue needs to dry for about an hour. Don't rush this process. Do what they say. Just to be sure after I finished the entire process I let them sit overnight upside down. I installed them the next morning and the sound was perfect. No more blown out sound, scraping and demon noises. With the exception of the old foam rings, nothing went into the landfill. The speakers sound they like are new. I would do this again in a heartbeat. I couldn't be happier.

Works very well. I fixed speakers of my 2003 Land Cruiser.Installation requires approx. 5-6 hrs of work per speaker, including the time to remove the speaker from the car. Removal of the old foam got little messy for me. I will strongly recommend to use Isopropyl alcohol or a goo cleaner to clean up the glue from old foam. Overall it is a fantastic product and it restored the sound quality of my land cruiser to almost like new.

An absolute must for any older Toyota or Lexus vehicle with premium OEM speakers
The repair process was simple, takes time, and with the results, so rewarding! The Toyota designers and the suppliers like Pioneer, Nakamichi and Panasonic really knew the car designed and matched it at the design price point back then. My 2004 Lexus RX 330 sounds amazing once more after completing the repairs to all four major door speakers. For added measure, I installed the FAST Rings and applied 100 feet of simple door gaskets on the interior four door panels to reduce the rattling that had developed over 15 years of use.The outcome is mind blowing, rich tight bass, great controlled mid range definition, and non-harsh highs, that my adult Orchestra viola player, loves listening to her classical music in the RX 330, while I love my 80's bass punchy music for such a cost effective repair.Makes me feel like a DYI "He-Man" urgh- urgh-urgh, while giving extended life, while I pay for two college tuition.

Saved me $600 bucks!
I called Lexus to price the replacement of the subwoofer on my 2001 LX470 and low and behold they could do it for $621 and change. I saw these guys on youtube and figured for $26.95 it was worth a shot. I've never tried to fix anything like this before but the videos they showed looked pretty straight forward. So I ordered it using free standard shipping on Amazon and got an email indicating it was shipped less than an hour after I ordered it. It showed up 2 days later and I went to work. 15 mins to pull out the old speaker box which was held in place by 5 measly 10 millimeter bolts and removed the speaker from the box. Scraped off the old foam and glue using the technique shown on the video and glued the new one on in two steps like they advise. Put it all back together and put it in place in about 5 mins. Put on some ghetto thumps and oh my how the bass was jamming... couldn't believe how good it sounded! It went from sounding like someone hitting pots together to a clean high end system. I've always liked the Mark Levinson system and was scared this might not work since its a high end system but it was a piece of cake! Now I'm just plain pissed I ever considered taking it in to be fixed. Seriously almost considered paying $621 for something that took less than two hours including an hour dry time and 30 mins of procrastinating. GREATEST invention ever this stuff is... better than the lightbulb... seriously... THANKS SimplySpeakers!

Speaker Healed
Have had to turn off the bass in my 2002 Lexus due to right speaker foam degradation and resulting vibration from the speaker. I didn't want to pull the speaker because the interior door facade would have to be pulled and was afraid of old clip breakage. I pulled the speaker cover off, cleared the old foam and dried adhesive and applied this foam surround in all of 10 minutes. Sounds great!
