These actually work good if you know how to use.
I see many reviews about trying to installing the ribbon cable.A hint, it does not push directly in. You have to flip up the little bar, insert the cable and click it back down. Very simple when you know this!You cannot however shorten the ribbon cable as it has a factory end that is made to be inserted into a connector.

Assembly required, and not obvious.
No instructions on how to assemble the cable, beyond referring to the product pictures in the listing. The ribbon cable receptacle has a gate, gently pry open with a jeweler’s flat blade screw driver. From the photos, pay attention to which side of the ribbon faces up. Don’t purchase unless you are hands on, and are OK with delicate parts.

Doesn't work with most displays
This product randomly decides what display it will work with, does not work with wide displays, hi res or high refresh rate displays, if you have a 720p monitor this will work great if not stay clear
