Nice desk size item. Love it!

The media could not be loaded. I have this mounted to my dash (adhesive strips come already on the base); my geeky self is quite amused by it! The RPMs vary as I pass in and out of shadow, which adds interest. I have yet, however, convince anyone that it's making the car a bit faster. I have but ONE complaint: ZERO nightime function. :(

Revision of my original review:It's beautiful and easy to set up. It balances and turns easily if you give it a little push. The wings have solar panels. It has a black propeller that turns readily if you push it. I finally found the right spot at the right time of day, gave that little propeller a nudge and the airplane flew around in a circle for at least a half hour. We all cheered. Each of these solar toys has its own personality.

What to get the guy who has everything? This. It does take bright sunlight but it is super fun to watch. It is just a silly little gift that is great if you just want to give to someone a little gift.

Great idea poor execution! This only works in direct sunlight. I tried to put flashlight and multiple desk lamps on it to get to work without success. Took it outside in direct sunlight and worked great. If I was to walk outside with it it is a great product. If I wanted to put it on my desk it is a bad product. I'm returning.

Needs actual sunlight. Not sun through the clouds, not sun coming in by the window. Actual direct sunlight. It's the way the solar panels work. I was hoping to get this and put it in my office on my desk and have it just zip around under the lights all day, but it is an actual solar panel, not a light to energy conversion panel. Indirect sunlight does nothing for it, and if it's overcast, forget it. It needs the kind of sunlight that makes shadows. And direct sunlight, this thing zips around at light speed and looks great, without direct sunlight, it just sits there and does nothing.

I love this airplane balance toy. Well-made and just as described online.

It works, but only if it has the EXACT right type of light source it wants. It won't work inside under normal fluorescent or LED bulbs, it needs something with a lot more light.Pictured in my office window, on the ledge, on a cloudy day, next to a normal sticky note.
