Q: I am new to car waxing/polishes etc and as I am quite busy, would like an easy way to maintain the shine/gloss of my alpine white bmw. I am thinking of washing the car down with a shampoo, applying this product, then finishing off with auto glym aqua wax. Would doing that once a month be a good way to keep the car look…

Some pretty good advice so far. Basically you want to polish a car once or twice a year. Polishing a car by hand will not remove swirls and imperfections. German paint is notoriously hard. This product is a glaze which as said will fill the swirls etc making them harder to see. Another good entry polish is autoglym super resin polish. Easy to use. Straight After polishing its important to seal the polish/glaze in with a hard wax. Again autoglym hd wax is a great starter. Then its important to use a mild shampoo that will prolong the wax. Autoglym wax will give you 6 months but can be topped up to extend its life. You should also check out the Auto Finesse range as all are extremely good and easy to use. Q: Can this product be applied with a machine and light cutting disk?What is the best applicator?

I have used both DAS and hand applications (using microfibre cloth) to good effect. It is so easy to apply, and the different applications showed no difference, that I apply it by hand. That said, if you use a DAS machine, then use a light colour pad (different manufacturers colour code their pads differently). Apply at a slow speed setting. Remember that White Diamond is a glaze that will take some time (at least a day) to harden, and will not last long. I would let White Diamond harden (under cover without getting wet) for a day, then apply a coat of sealant (I use Gtechniq Ceramic) which is harder wearing and will offer a thin but hard layer on top of White Diamond. Hope this helps.

Q: is it a stand alone polish

it can be used as a filler under polish or as we use it on its own after thre car has been cleaned it is the best shine we have ever had and very easy to use

The product as purchased, I am afraid does NOT come with any kind of spray trigger mechanism to assist in the application of the Polish. That said, having the experience of the excellent way that correct usage allows the Polish to be thoroughly successful whatever the weather, and can be applied in both cool and dreary conditions, - the only caution is be careful when applying in DIRECT sunlight as with most polishes, common sense should prevail. Poorboys Polish is as good as any thing else I have ever used, is easy to apply, and does exactly what it says on the tin so to speak, I would indeed have no hesitation in recommending to anyone who values their car, boat, or caravan, in my opinion ONE OF THE BEST out there. Finally this is not a cheap product, - but as in most cases you get what you PAY for, - no surprises here then!
