Good quality, mid-weight shaper
I have been a fan of this shapeware brand for years. I have never been disappointed with the quality and these are no exception. This mid-waist slimmer has just the right amount of "control" for me, which means it is not tight and binding but there is just enough compression to remind me to hold that tummy in when someone's taking a picture. L O L I will generally wear something like this more as a smoother than a shaper because I like to be comfortable. The length of the legs on these will be nice because I can wear them under dresses this summer. I have thighs that are somewhat heavy for my height and frame, so I probably won't use them as a leg shaper because someone would be able to see the bulge of where it stops if I was wearing pants. But that band is not overly constructing and it's going to just help these stay in place. I'm pleased with the amount of stretch on these. They go on so easily! As a person who is 5 foot five and carries more weight through hips and thighs, I bought the medium size because it matched my measurements. It works well for me but I might invest in a size large as well, if I want to use them as shorts under clothes and not feel them at all. My waist is considered "short" and these come up just above it but I did not notice them rolling down after wearing it for an hour. These are nice Maidenform quality. The price is slightly high here but I know from experience that this brand lasts for years.

Shapewear Shorts - kind of sheer
I ordered a size medium because I wear a size 8 in jeans and it fit great. It didn’t roll down. The material quality was very nice. I wear this under a dress and the shape-wear itself was in replace to shorts that I usually wear. Just a heads up, it is a little bit sheer so if you’re using this for the integrity of needing it not to be sheer, maybe that’s worth mentioning. The material quality was nice. There was a little bit of a pull in the fabric. The booty lifting in the back actually looked really good like I just got done busting out weighted squats at the gym. Great Shape-ware for keeping you in and making you feel snatched.

Runs small
These are comfortable and provide compression and smoothing without sucking you in too much and making the parts above and below the shorts look like stuffed sausages, which can sometimes happen. They create a smoothing look. They are smoothing and comfortable for all day wear. They are medium thickness- breathable but not too thin they snag on fist wear. However, I would suggest you completely disregard the size chart and wear your regular street size (S/M/L/XL) and not go by the numbers on the chart. I am a 12/14 XL, losing weight but not a L yet, and I got an XL. The size chart says an XL should fit sizes 16/18, but it fit me well with no rolling, etc. if I got “my size”, a L, it would definitely have been too small! So definitely o by what your tag usually says for size category, not number!Other than this, I like them!

Very comfortable. Smoothing. Great under dresses/loose pants.
Super comfortable shape wear. Great for under a dress - provides smoothing plus wardrobe malfunction coverage. Great under loose pants/overalls. Waistband stays in place, no rolling down at all. Leg openings also stay in place, no shifting or rolling up.SLIMMING: This shape wear is smoothing with slight to average compression. They fit snug and close, but there isn't a super strong tummy control/compression factor at work. Being average compression keeps them comfortable and doesn't provide so much "squish" that there's muffin top issues. Everything is smooth. So it just depends what someone is looking for in terms of compression/slimming level.SIZE: I have these in size Med and they fit great. Top of the waist band is well above my belly button, stops just under my ribs. For reference I wear size Med in similar shape wear, in leggings and biker shorts, and a size 10/12 in jeans. I'm 5'4" tall, about 175#, and carry my weight in my hips and backside.

maidenform shorts
Smoothing, not really firm enough fabric for shaping. Not very high on the waist, either. They might be something to wear under loose dress pants that would offer some compression.

Good smoother, not great shaper
This is a quality item and is made well. The butt lifting knit is remarkably effective and I think definitely makes my rear look better. I wear a size 6 and got a medium; it fit very well and I think I would have found a small uncomfortably snug and constricting. I am short and I did find the waistband to roll a bit, especially when sitting. I would size up from their recommended size for smoothing and don't go with their recommended size unless you really want to be squoze like a sausage. Pricey for a single undergarment at $34 but this brand usually wears quite well so I have high hopes.

Does the job!
This shape wear really does the job. I hate feeling confined but I am self conscious of my apron belly so if I am wearing a tight dress I like to have a little smoothing for a self confidence boost and these really help. I am smoothed out but I can still breathe lol the back really shapes my behind and I have not had any riding up on the thighs which is more than I have experienced with other brands so these are great. Definitely worth it you are wanting that peace of mind.
