The Essence Vault 499 fragrance is a warm, intense and luxurious scent. I would describe it as "full bodied" scent with initially a very warm, woody even musky scent which evolves over the course of the day to a more spicy woody scent.Glass bottle design is simple - which I liked - the manufacturers have put their money into the fragrance rather than an exotic shaped bottle. And the spray is perfectly acceptable. Applied after my shower, the fragrance lasted all day - (with slight traces still noticeable the next day. So this is a long lasting fragrance.I'm not familiar with the Ombre Nomade (Louis Vuitton) fragrance that inspired 499 so can't compare the two. For me, the fragrance itself isn't quite to my liking. It's very rich and intense (whereas I quite like the lighter more citrus fragrances). Perhaps more suited to an older gentleman at a dinner party. Nothing wrong with it, just not to my personal taste.

This 100ml fragrance offers incredible value for the price and is simply beautiful. The aroma lasts throughout the day. I find that one spray is just the right amount for me. Highly recommended.

First time I’ve tried one of the range from the Essence Vault and I’m quite impressed by the quality considering how cheap these bottles are.Now I will point out that the longevity and the rich complexity of the fragrance does not rival something like a Tom Ford but considering that this is a 100ml bottle at a price more than ten times cheaper than an equivalent sized Tom Ford bottle then you really can’t be too fussy.The smell of this particular fragrance – number 499 – is smoky and spicy as the company suggests. The base note is oud, my absolute favourite and you can certainly distinguish this aroma the moment you open the bottle; there is a warmth and earthiness to this scent.The smell is not as refined, nor as long-lasting as a tom Ford, the scent does loose some of its complexity pretty rapidly after applying but 4/5 hours later I can still small the subtle tones.Overall it’s a very affordable perfume that is great value for money.

Such a good value for money for 100ml fragrance that is absolutely gorgeous. It is unisex so it can be used by men and women. Very deep and complex scent that is so long-lasting that even after several washings I could still smell it on my clothes, which is very impressive. Bottle is very basic but I rather have a basic bottle and good quality, long lasting fragrance than fancy bottle and poor quality product so it doesn't matter for me that much because the quality of the product is much more important for me and on that aspect I very happy and will definitely try other scents from that brand.

This is a truly gorgeous scent! It really does smell expensive and luxurious. At first I noticed the raspberry scent but you then get a smoky woody scent that I would say is the main scent I get throughout the day. And it really does last all day. I use just one spray and that is the perfect amount for me.I agree with the description that this is a unisex scent. Both my husband and I would happily wear it, but this one is mine, all mine!The bottle and the box it comes in are both simple but tastefully designed and very gift worthy.
