Bayco KW-110 Cord Reel, Orange

Worked great. Did exactly what it was suppose to. I thankfully got a fully functioning one. I seen other reviews talking about the issues they had when theirs arrived. Mine worked and was pretty simple once I got my rhythm to role it up. Much better than how I was storing my cord before and should be much easier to use now as well. Definitely worth the price and will buy again.

There were some nubs that kept it from spinning freely. Just knocked those off and it works well. Seems pretty sturdy.

We got this reel to manage a 100-foot extension cord for our lawnmower. It's certainly better than coiling such a length around my arm. The build quality isn't the greatest and most durable, but it'll do well for light-duty working conditions.The reel arrived with one minor issue. There was excess plastic from the manufacturing process resulting in a obstructions within the track. Fortunately, grinding away with a Dremel tool easily fixed the condition.Overall, it works for our simple needs. The production issue wasn't damaging, but it is worth noting. The reel isn't bad for 9 bucks if you don't need heavy-duty performance.

They're a good size and fit at least a 75 foot outdoor extension cord that is 16 gauge. This is also a really good price.

Large enough to hold a 50 ft. 12/3 outdoor extension cord. But out of the box, would catch and be hard to turn past a certain point. Hopefully WD40 will fix that problem for good. Then the first time I used it, the knob came off. It wasn't broken, but the screw had fallen out. The screw goes into a lock nut but had not been tightened securely. Very difficult to replace unless you have a right angle screw driver, which I did have. Even then, though, what should have been working out of the box took me fifteen minutes or more to fix because of time spent looking for the right screw driver and then trying to find the nut after I had dropped it twice.

If the manufacturer just spent a minute or 2 cleaning up this product it would be perfect. But as it stands, the lack of quality control really prevents me from giving it a higher score. I ordered 4 of these all of which had some level of manufacturing defect that made winding cords extremely difficult. The underlying issue is that whatever process they are using to separate the item from its mold is leaving sharp edges and extra pieces of material that the handle gets caught on when winding. To make them more usable, I ended up using a box knife and scraper to remove the extra pieces of plastic and the item then works as expected. The unfortunate situation is that I haven't found a suitable alternative. So for now, I will put in the sweat equity just give my feedback via this review.
