Beautiful and fun puzzle!

I was hopeful about this puzzle, only to ultimately view it as a disappointment. If you look at the bottom right of the first photo, you'll see the protein pak they included. Confused? It's an extremely squished fly and there are numerous other marks and inclusions I'd rather not think about.I thought this would be wood, but it's more like pressed plastic. 🙄The accompanying reference picture is so large 1/1 scale! and of such heavy stock, that it's impossible to wield from my chair, a 1/4 or 1/3 scale picture is much preferred.I had hopes that like some excellent puzzles I've assembled in the past, that the pieces would just snap right into place. Some do, some don't. 🙁 The good news is, with the backing pattern, it's easy to determine if a piece is misplaced.In good things about this puzzle, it has a lettered grid on the back, so it was easy to separate pieces alphabetically. If a piece had both A and B, or A, B, E, it would go into the A bin. I didn't have to deal with all 1000 pieces at once, only about 125. As you can see, I'm still mid puzzle, and I'm seriously wondering if it's worth continuing.The no dust thing? I had started to unbox all my puzzles on a piece of kitchen towling, which catches the dust, and I lint roll my puzzle desk before starting another, but as can be seen, even after doing this, these puzzles still deposit tiny pieces of long white plasticky residue.Will I buy another? Not unless I'm going to save it as a wall mounted picture.Good things? I can pick this whole thing up, and it doesn't fall apart. Bad thing? When I go to put this back in the box, I anticipate having problems because it sticks together too well. 🫤

It's been awhile since I've done a thousand piece puzzle but the drama of the ice and fire image could not be passed up. The puzzle comes in a sturdy cardboard box with the image on the cover. The puzzle is well made with the image strongly adhered to the wooden backed puzzle pieces. They are definitely different than what I usually expect from a wooden puzzle but still sturdier than regular cardboard puzzle pieces. One thing I love about this particular puzzle image is that I was able to divide the pieces in half by color. It made puzzle building faster. The backs of the pieces all have letters stamped on them so if you get stuck you can refer to them to at least have a general idea where they need to go. I referred to them when I got stuck for a longer period of time and I usually got unstuck after awhile. I did the puzzle in a few days time mostly working on it in the evenings. I made fairly steady progress and it was fun to see the image coming together. I did notice that some of the pieces were a little harder to pop into place but a little pressure took care of it. Otherwise it was a fun puzzle and I look forward to putting it together again next time....

I love this puzzle. It feels amazing. The pieces snap together perfectly and only the pieces that belong together. No accidental misfits. This puzzle is challenging but doable so it doesn’t get infuriating. I look forward to putting it together many more times in the future.
