Great product, its the same as the festool block, made by the same people just colored differently. The only difference between them is the festool is a couple millimeters larger(so are festool papers) and it comes packaged with the suction vent/hose adapter and for the mirka its a $20-25 accessory. You can also buy the adapter directly from festool for fairly cheap, its identical to the mirka adapter and fits both units. But that adapter is important for use, the suction on even the lowest setting on a dust extractor is too strong for some applications and the adapter lets you dial it in.

Works with Festool 495019 Hose HSKBut unlike the festool versions of this hand sanding block does not allow you to regulate the suction. Solution… use the Mirka screen sanding roll as it has lost off air space unlike other hook and loop sandpaper

I have used Abronet for many years on my woodturnings, and have also used this sanding block with Abronet for flatboarding. I decieded to get another one.

Block works great as a block, does not fit Festool's 80mm x 130mm sanding pad so the vacuum systems has minimal suction. Not Mirka's fault, my one fault for thinking this would work and I would save 1/4 of the price for the Festool 496962 80mm X 130mm Hand Sanding Block. Oh well

This sanding block is easy on the hand, and with the hose assembly picks up almost all of the sawdust. I bought the variety pack of sanding strips to get started- love it. My only sirt of negative feedback is that finding sanding strips (roll) of a particular grit on Amazon is difficult.

Works great. The small size is perfect for small projects or a light final sanding for larger projects.
