Works better than regular sanding paper, last longer, and creates a really smooth surface.
I am very impressed with these sanding sheets. I used the sheets to sand a couple of projects on the lathe. The sheets sanded quickly and created a nice smooth surface for finishing. It was very easy to clean the sanding dust out of the sheets so they do not get gummed up like regular paper. I would have normally had to throw the sand paper pieces I used during sanding away after completing a project but these sheets are just like new after several projects. Heat from friction transfers very quickly through these sheets and that could be an issue for some. I used a paper towel folded several times to the size of the sheet and placed it between my hands and the sheet. This worked very well as I felt no friction heat transfer. This is a great product and a vast improvement over any other sanding paper I have used. I will buy again.

Love this stuff
The Abranet sheets have been great for wet sanding my acrylic pens. I love that I can rinse and clean it and it won't gum up

good solution for dust reduction
We purchased this product as a solution for flattening marquetry and parquetry projects. If the sanding dust from a dark wood gets into the pores of a light wood like holly, it can be nearly impossible to get the light wood clean again. So, having a vacuum attached during the sanding process is one approach to eliminating this "cross contamination". In addition, because one doesn't want to generate depressions which could go entirely through the veneer, having a sanding block is also desirable. Thus, the Abranet solution seemed to be potentially ideal. And, it works. We have it attached to the smallest Fein vacuum and that provides enough suction to virtually eliminate the sanding dust. While we have not used it extensively yet, it seems like an improvement for our application. The only shortcoming is that the vacuum adapter is pretty limited so you'll need to find the right combination of adapters to be able to connect it to your system, but I'd still give this product a strong recommendation.

I use this when sanding items on my lathe and ...
I use this when sanding items on my lathe and am very impressed. This sands much more effectively than the sandpaper that I normally use and lasts much longer. I have not done a cost/benefit on whether the price is comparable when comparing the lifecycle of the Abranet versus traditional sandpaper but I tend to reach for this when I have a lot of sanding to do, especially in the coarser grits. At the higher grits I tend to use small amounts of sandpaper and dispose of it after use and haven't seen as much difference in results but at the coarser grits such as 80, 100, and 120 I find a big difference and see wood sanded down much faster with the Abranet. After using the Abranet for a few months I will definitely keep some on hand in the shop, especially at the coarser grits.

This stuff is great and a money saver
I heard about this somewhere on the net and decided to give it a try and boy am I glad I did..I can sand at least 25-35 pens using 150,180,220,320,400 and 600 grit with no problems..This paper (open mesh) does not clog and if it does just tap it on a hard surface and the dust built up in the paper comes right out..I have even washed them out with water and still continue to use them..I am on my second set of this..The first set I now use for turned boxes and such and still going strong..2nd set is for pens..Highly recommend this as it saves a ton of money over using conventional sandpaper..Please note my review is only for using this stuff for turning, your mileage may vary using it for flat work...Scott

Its abranet, so its awesome.
Sized for the mirka hand block, all the grits you could want 80-600. Abranet is one of the best abrasives out there. Lasts a long time, and has the best dust collection you can find, net abrasives are the best for that. Doesnt really clog, if it starts to get gunky just take it off and vacuum the velcro side PRESTO!

Great sanding materials
Great Sand Paper! I am a wood carver! The 80 grit is so abrasive you can carve/shape wood easily! Lasts a long time and is easy to clean by shaking. Other grits all clean well also! Very easy to work wit and is easy to cut and shape for hard to reach areas!

Best sanding out there
I work with resins, this is by far the best stuff on the planet for sanding resins. I take this variety pack, cut all the pieces in 1/2 to get more use out of them. Yes, I wish it was less expensive, but for how long they last, they are worth it.
