This book is great for the novice train traveler. Plenty of useful information that a seasoned train traveler probably knows. I did enjoy reading it and glad I bought it.

This is the best book I have read about Amtrak travel...

I loved all the info that was in this book....as I’m about to be a full time train traveling Gypsy. A lot of helpful hints are in this book. I just thought there would be more to it. Rather short, but to the point. She covered all the bases.✔️😎

Very little info that isn't available on Amtrak's website and much less than on any YouTube video. I'm not sure I'd pay 99¢ for it and I paid $5. (kindle version)

This publication contains concise information on the value and method of using a USA RailPass for Amtrak. As a vetern rail traveller who has never used the Pass, the do's and dont"s and synopsis of procedures was interesting and very helpful. Her descriptions of coach travel with children were insightful but did not offer anything new. In fact, while reading I was even more proud of my Mom who took me on cross country train trips when I was 2 and again at 5 and at 10. She did not have the luxury of all the electronic devices to keep me from being bored. But by are 19, I was making the trips by myself. The beauty of this great country and the novelty of the Santa Fe "EL Capitan" was more than enough. The information provided in the 43 page, large print edition is great for future reference. Getting it on Kindle and downloading it for future us would have been cheaper.

Honest and easy to read. This book perfectly pairs the authors experience and great tips which include planning out your trip using resources provided to what to pack and gives examples of great memories and experiences the author created with her kids while embarking on this adventure.

This is an interesting short book about one woman's story about planning and taking a trip by Amtrak train around the United States in thirty days. I just chose this book as a fill in. I wish she told more why she chose the stops she did
