Mystic Mondays Tarot: A Deck for the Modern Mystic

Not what I expected... First impression!
I saw this tarot deck on someone's instagram and it really drew me in, so I signed up to the Mystic Mondays Instagram page. I am usually not a fan of colourful tarot decks, but this one seemed different. I read a lot of reviews and watched some of the YouTube videos with people reviewing the Mystic Mondays tarot. Reviews here also left me very unsure of whether this deck was actually worth it. But I decided that 18 pounds weren't too bad for a deck and also that I could always return it if I didn't like it.The deck came in a sturdy box with holographic details. The box is quite big and heavy, which feels nice and opens and closes easily which is a plus. Having a proper box with tarot decks is also nice because this is where I can keep the tarot deck and not worry about buying separate bags or boxes. After opening the box, I found the guidebook. The size of the guidebook was something I didn't expect. It is thicker than any other guidebook I've seen in other decks. A lot of reviews mentioned that there was a feeling of the tarot deck being made just for the money, but just seeing the guidebook I felt that it can't be true. The tarot themselves are very very nice. They are vibrant, colourful and they really catch your eye. Some of the cards were stuck together and required careful separation (the holographic sides are tender so do remove cards from each other with care). The deck feels very friendly and positive. Its the type of deck you want to get out at 3am when feeling down and take with you on holidays, to the beach. Even though the deck does feel somewhat tender and might fade/scratch over time, I think it's part of the charm.

Stunning deck.
I asked chat gpt to recommend some tarot cards for me based on what I already own and it led with this deck. I decided to just give it a go but I wasn’t 100% sure it would be for me.It absolutely is. It’s beautiful - bright, symbolic imagery, silver gilding to the edges, gorgeous holographic box.If you’re considering it, this is your sign to just buy it! You won’t regret it, I am certain!

Gorgeous!
I love love love them! I lost my universal waite tarot deck recently and spent a while looking for a new deck and this was the one that stood out. Beautiful looking cards, box and book. I imagine they might have had issues at the start but Im guessing they have been improved since because mine are in good condition. They are quite big cards but I have small hands so that was likely always to bw a problem for me haha. I also enjoy the interpretations in the guide book, it's very much so for the modern tarot reader and I think it's great. When doing my friends reading they tend to understand a lot more what the cards saying than with my old deck. I admit it will probably not bw the deck for everyone but I am very pleased with mine!

STUNNING!
I would like to address that I did notice slight damage in the corners of some of the cards when I first went through the deck but it's a minor issue for me. Some cards did stick together at first but easily comes off after a bit of shuffling so again, minor issues really. Secondly, the art of this deck is so aesthetically pleasing! The colours, the design, the glow, OMG. Lastly, the guidebook that comes with it is easy to understand and very useful for beginners like me. Overall, really well done. I truly feel I resonate with this deck a lot.

Lovely cards and art, but not what I looked for in a guidebook
It's a lovely set of well made cards. Yes, the corners were stuck together but that's not a problem that can't be fixed. I actually wasn't surprised when that happened, considering the iridescent edges.I bought these cards for the art and I'm not disappointed! I'm not a huge fan of iridescent edges as I find them a little overdone and unnecessary but they actually make the cards look very nice, and for some people even more mystical. BUT the guidebook is smaller than I imagined (I expected a proper A5 guidebook) and mainly the descriptions of cards are too focused on advise based on the card instead of an explanation of the cards. Meaning that there is only a sentence or two briefly explaining the card and then advise on what you should or shouldn't do, similarly to horoscopes. Personally I prefer proper card background and meaning explanation than specific advice (the book is also heavily expecting that the reader will be a woman - this also changed gender of the hanged man on the card for instance). If you like this kind of mystical guidebooks, go for it. If you like the art style, go for it. I ended up buying a different guidebook but I'm loving these cards and their art style.

Perfect Cards
Gilding perfect, colours perfect, no damage to cards, little guide book is robust and has two pages for every card, upright meaning on lhs of pages and reversed meaning on the rhs. Gorgeous visually, intriguing intuitively, great if you can 'use' images, could be a problem for people looking for the usual comforting rws intellectual basics to lean on. If you like this, see her gem deck, and her upcoming animal deck next year (2022).

The best tarot cards I’ve ever seen
I literally could not fault these cards!! The overall look of them is absolutely exquisite and everything about them is extremely high quality! These are my first tarot deck and I’m glad I bought these ones because they’re perfect for beginners and the artwork on them is beautiful. The guide book is very informative but it doesn’t show any formations you could use, which is fine because there are many other ways you could find this out.Amazing product and I would highly recommend if you’re looking to buy some tarot cards.
