Love this product! It saves money but just as important, allows us to use many of our favorite coffees since the pod selection for the Nespresso Vertuo is quite limited. It is not cheap plastic, it's more like a heavier melamine, so very sturdy. The design works more neatly that other kits I've seen-the two-part unit keeps grounds off the pod rim when you are filling it. It takes a little practice and precision but the alignment rim makes it much easier. I also find it helps to burnish the foil down with a pen cap or such for a secure fit. We've already ordered more foils, recommended!

We've ordered hundreds and hundreds of foils from various Amazon vendors. We've used the original Capmesso wooden base and foils to fill the majority of those pods and we've long considered them best in class. We’ve tested and reviewed foils from seven different Amazon vendors and, based on our testing, Capmesso foils continue to be the absolute best in the marketplace. To us, this new refill kit version has some great new benefits -- especially for new users wanting to refill their capsules. Here is what to like and why this should be the kit and foil that you use:1. For frequent "refillers," this base, or any base, is a must...for a base makes refilling so much easier.2. While plastic, the base looks like classy, rich wood...both the actual base and its top twist ring.3. This new design features a raised lip section that makes it easy to center the foil over the filled pod.4. The twist ring fits onto the top of the filled pod and, with a turn or two, the foil is securely applied.5. The kit includes the base, top ring, a newly designed coffee scoop, and 100 foils...all but the coffee.As noted in the photos, we examined and then tested the new Capmesso refill system and new foils by refilling a dozen empty pods. We used the new foils on six pods and the older standard Capmesso foils to enclose the remaining six pods. Here are the positives we found:1. The raised lip of the new design makes it easier and faster to center and apply the foil.2. The new top twist ring makes it easier to ensure the foil is securely applied to the pod's top and sides.3. Centering the foil over the pod takes practice and this new design makes centering a breeze.For this new Capmesso refill kit, the company has changed the size of its foil. Vertuo pods are 59mm across, so you need at least 60-61mm foils to minimally cover the pods when refilling. Standard Capmesso foils are 63mm – the largest quality foil we have found on the Amazon marketplace – and that larger size gives the refiller some wiggle room when centering the foil over the newly filled pod. Most competitor foils are a mere 60-61mm… too small and frustrating in our opinion.With this new system that provides a raised lip on the base to guide the user to automatically center the foil over the capsule, Capmesso has designed and provided 62mm foils. Standard 63mm foils will work, but 62mm are perfect. Our testing using both 62mm and 63mm foils confirms this. For those of us using both the new and older Capmesso refill systems, the company indicates that it will continue to offer both 62mm (new system) and 63mm foils.Overall, Capmesso has hit another grand slam homer with this new refill kit. It makes centering and adhering the foil to the pod a quick and easy breeze. It took us a couple hundred refills to consistently and accurately center the foil over newly-filled pods. The media could not be loaded. NESPRESSO PODS ARE SO EXPENSIVE and they are so limited on coffee. Like what if you want to drink your own coffee at the same convenience. Well, I looked online for a solution and of course Amazon has it all. I was skeptical, I was scared it would break my machine, I was scared that it wouldn’t work.I WAS WRONG, this is a great buy. You only need to get this starter set the first time and then you’ll just need the lid seals when you run out. I love that I can pick my own coffee. It’s so user friendly and easy to use. I didn’t need to read instructions and the company really thought of everything. They made it easy to fill without spilling coffee everywhere. AND, they made a little guide and where to put the foil so that it fits perfect around the rim. You just line the edge of the foil with the tall lip and it’s perfect every time. This is so fast, it takes me maybe 5 minutes to fill a handful of pods. Now I get to enjoy my favorite coffee at the convenience of pushing one button.I’ve also tried putting Thai tea leaves in my pods and it also works great. This has saved me so much money because a can of coffee is $8 versus Nespresso pods that are much more. With this economy and the prices of everything going up, save money where you can. I like that it makes the pods reusable too. I’m not throwing them away and I get more uses out of them. I still buy Nespresso pods but just not as often. It tastes great and is so quick and efficient.I recommend this to everyone that has the Nespresso vertuo machine, in fact I like it so much that I might buy it and gift it for coffee lovers. Just add to cart. Don’t even hesitate. I bought this with my own money, no one paid me to say this!

I’ve tried several different seal kits but this one is the best hands down. Very well thought out, easy to use and the larger seals work great. I would highly recommend this product.
