Loctite 8 Ounce Extend Rust Neutralizer

Does a great job in neutralizing rust but just so expensive for such a small bottle

I used this rust neutralizer on a 37 year old pickup that spent much of its life on the coast of Oregon, so the truck body sheet metal has gradually been eaten through in various places with rust from front to rear.All rusted areas were prepped with wire brush and sandpaper (a bead blaster would work great). Once prepped, each area is cleaned and then the neutralizer is brushed on in two applications. I gave the treatments two days to cure and then top coated with zinc based latex touch up paint. DO NOT PRIMER.Three years later, all treated and painted areas were just as nice as the day they were painted. At the same time, I found a couple a small areas that had been treated, but not painted. I was amazed to find only a little rust showing on the fringes, but most of the black neutralizer coating was still in good shape. These will be prepped, treated, and painted once the weather improves. Couldn't be more pleased.

if this is the same stuff I used years ago it is amazing. I wire brushed cleaned and painted this stuff on and 3 years later it was like the day applied it. I was dumbfounded how well it worked
