So far it is a great battery at a great price
After doing a ton of research on Batteries for my Nitro Bass Boat to run my Brushed 36v Minnkota Ultrex I settled in on Li Time. For a number of reasons fist and foremost all the reviews I found said the customer service was second to none. That was very important to me. I thankfully have not had to use customer service so far for any issues but they have reached out to me every step of the way from the order to the receipt of the batteries (in part because I left them sitting in my cart on their website opting to buy through Amazon instead). They have been very helpful even providing a discount code for future purchases. Second was price vs. quality and functionality. The price is less than half of the other big brands that market to bass fisherman and the features and spec's of these batteries are all the same or at least similar most notably the BMS system. The one thing I noticed was some said that this BMS did not have a balancing system as other do. I solved that with a multibank charger and putting a disconnect between each battery to isolate them when charging. Disconnects are simple to install and only $20 each on amazon. My only complaint is that these batteries arrived asleep and had to be woken up by using the force mode on the Noco GenPro 4 bank charger I purchased. My complaint is not that they arrived in that state but that there was no note or disclaimer on the battery that this was the case. Nor any instructions on how to wake them up. It took a lot of time researching what was going on and how to wake them up. Once I got it figured out it was solved in minutes. I have only ran them once for a 5 hour fishing day on the Upper Chesapeake bay. Wind was moderate and the tide was moving. I only used 10% of the 100 ah batteries in those 5 hours. The real test will come when I start putting 8-12 hour days in on the St. Lawrence river the rest of the season...however based on the first test I might have gotten away with the 50 ah like some of my friends are running in other brands. The ones I purchased have the BMS that connects to the mobile app. which is great. I have an Ionic running one Garmin 10" and my LS. The Li Time app. works similar to the Ionic app. As an added bonus the weight reduction from the AGM's I was running significantly improved my hole shot and provided 4 mph faster speeds on the top end (2012 Nitro Z8 with 225hp proxs). I did find a disclaimer online from Minn Kota warning costumers to only run brushed motors at 85% speed when using Lithium batteries of any kind. My understanding is that this is due to the brushed motor being sensitive to the higher voltage Lithiums deliver. I found another disclaimer saying you could run it at 100% but limit the use at 1005 to less than 10 min continuously. I ran mine at 100% for short bursts with no issues so far. I have a friend that fishes the St. Lawrence river weekly and purchased these same 100 ah batteries (before they offered the BMS with the phone app.) He has been running them since April on his 24 volt brushed Ultrex with no issues at all and is very happy with the batteries. Long review, but I was unable to find any detailed reviews of people specifically using these batteries on bass boats running brushed Ultrex motors. So I hope this helps the next guy looking at these for that application.
