The Perfect Scentless Apprentice for Getting Rid of Closet Moths
I live in Colorado, where there is a massive migration of Miller Moths every year. Having moved here from NYC, I had no idea how bad the moths get out west. Since then, I’ve had gorgeous cashmere sweaters reduced to unrepairable Swiss cheese. Ugh!When they ended up eating massive holes in a beloved wool rug from my great-grandmother’s ancestral village in Romania — which would cost $500 to repair at a local rug shop, eek! — I decided to wage all-out war.Cedar smells great, but it’s not enough to deter these textile terrors. On the other hand, due to Sensory Processing Disorder, I can’t deal with the scent of mothballs or traditional chemical moth deterrents. What to do?I decided to trust Grandpa Gus since I liked the sweet old man on their logo, and the unscented pheromone traps seemed perfect for keeping them from breeding deep in some unknown spot within my linen closet. The traps look like hotel “Do Not Disturb” door-hangers when you first unbox them, and to release the pheromone scent, you simply remove the layer of paper covering the sticky backing. From there, you fold the trap into a triangle so that they can get in but can’t get out. What I’m loving already is that they really don’t smell like anything at all. Also — WOW, I can’t even make this up: As I was setting up the traps and writing this review on my phone’s Notes app, a freaking moth just came out of nowhere and started flying toward the trap in my hand. That’s amazing.Okay, I’m already stunned. The worst of the moth invasion took place at my old apartment and I’m trying to get rid of any stragglers who made it over to my new place in the move — so while I’m hoping there aren’t actually (m)any others who made it over, the fact that the traps brought one out before I was even done hanging them up makes me very pleased.I just hope the traps stay sticky, and if they don’t, I’ll come back and update this review. No one should ever have their wool or cashmere demolished by these creatures, and I don’t want to let folks down in case the traps don’t actually work as intended. If there’s somehow still a moth problem and traps have failed to do their job, I’ll come back and revise my rating. That’s my promise to you, my fellow moth-haters.In the meantime, five stars for a scentless solution that’s easy to use and immediately brought one of those little fabric-eating jerks right out of hiding. Incredible! You rock, Grandpa Gus, and may you continue to capture the rest of ‘em. Here’s hoping!

Traps are attracting moths
Easy to fold and peel and they stay folded. I've seen a few moths fluttering around the traps but have yet to trap any. Having seen moths around the traps means that they are being attracted.

Not too shabby
I do not have the level of infestation that some of the other reviewers have so my results are not quite as dramatic. Out of 3 closets in the home, I caught 1-2 moths in a 1-2 week time period. Did my jaw drop? No. But what should I have expected? I don't have a ton of moths but I have a nagging problem of seeing them around all the time, 1 or 2 random guys flying around when I want to watch some night time relaxing TV. It is the same as having a fly in the room. For some people, who cares. For me, I will spend the better part of an hour just to lure and kill that thing. Could I use mothballs like grandma and grandpa did? Sure, but I just don't want to be breathing that stuff - it's not healthy and I like my home to be free of toxins and poisons. I cannot vouch that moth pheromones are any healthier than naphthalene but I don't have that strong toxic smell when I unpack these little traps. I guess for this price, you should decide to give it a shot and see if you have the same good experience as everyone else. I honestly think this is a good product. A+EDIT: It has now been several weeks after my first review and I can say that these things definitely work. The males have been killed off to the point where I only was seeing females, and then there was a huge drop off to where I am not seeing moths anywhere. I have been swatting and killing them vigilantly for years and wish I had found this product sooner. I am very happy to say that my 5 star review still stands. This is an effective product and works beautifully!

Satisfied
While these are not my favorite moth traps I’ve used, they do seem to do the trick. They are, indeed, scentless. And they were very simple to set up. The instructions to set multiple up in the same space contradicts what other products have told me, which was concerning. And I’ve noticed an immediate response from moths to other products in the past (they become clearly agitated when the trap is first opened), which didn’t occur with these. But it still typically takes a few days to really start noticing them in the traps and that was true of these. after those first few days I have been noticing a steady collection of them in the traps. So they do work, you may just need a bit of patience. Overall, I’m satisfied with them.

These work exactly as they are supposed to! Revised review- not working as they should!
Somehow, the moths are living in harmony with these traps. I thought I was getting the infestation under control, and that the traps were working. I check them daily so I know how many moths have been trapped. Today, I looked closely at the rug that is being eaten. I have three of these traps sitting on the rug in key spots. There were moths flying freely around the area, and none in the traps. The traps have been down for about 10 days. There are 1-2 moths in the traps, and the rest are living happily and feasting daily. Not recommended.Somehow, some wool-eating moths made their way into my home! Instant panic! Most of these traps work with pheromones that attract moths onto a sticky substance. They are fairly straightforward to use. You peel off a protective layer to expose the sticky part, and tent the cardboard so that the moths can fly in. It's the moth hotel: the moths fly in but they don't fly out. These seem to have captured most of the invaders, and I'm leaving several in my closets to make absolutely sure. They definitely did the job!

These kinds of traps work
In the past, occasionally my husband has found that a moth has chewed a hole in one of his suits (ugh!) and I have occasionally found evidence in my closet, too. I have used these kind of pheromone sticky traps for moths before and they work. Now I use them in all closets just in case and occasionally find a few dead moths stuck to the traps, so I know they work. This brand is nice. I like the hanger which makes it really easy to assemble and put in the closet.
