Natural Factors CranRich, Super Strength 36:1 Cranberry Concentrate, 500 mg, Sugar-Free Whole Fruit Cranberry Pills for Urinary Tract Health, 180 Capsules

I’ve taken one CranRich capsule a day for months now and haven’t had a UTI flare-up since. It’s way easier than choking down cranberry juice, sugar-free, and I feel better overall.

Made in Canada where government control on manufacture of supplements are stricter. Youwould have to drink buckets of cranberry juice to get the benefit you get in this supplement.It is used by many who have frequent urinary tract infections.

Had a series of UTI over a three month period. Took antibiotics until they made be so sick I could barely get out of bed. After the third round of antibiotics I met with the Urologist. They had planned to put me on what he called "suppressive" therapy where I would take one antibiotic a day for 6 months.I told him that the last round of antibiotic made me so sick I literally ate no more than 2 crackers a day. Great weight loss strategy if you don't mind being so sick you can barely feed your dogs! I told him I would rather die of UTI then take any more antibiotics. Then he shared with me an article from his profession journal - Urology. In the November 2020 issue a study determined that taking 500mg of cranberry EXTRACT daily was just as effective as long-term antibiotic therapy. So he recommended I take 500mg a day. Since I have religiously followed his recommendations I have been UTI free. Thankfully, something other than antibiotics work!! He said the concentration of cranberry in juice was insufficient to ward off further UTIs. Great to increase one's fluid consumption but not equivalent to 500 mg of the Extract or suppressive therapy.If I sense anything might be going on with the urinary tract I double my dose to 1000 mg a day for several days. That strategy has worked to date.The pills are fairly large but have found if you swish some water around in your mouth, to essentially lubricate the capsules before trying to swallow, then there is no problem. I take them one at a time so they don't stick together.These have worked well and price is reasonable. I will buy more when I run out.
