This is a really good solution for people with double doors. For single doors, I would go with brace that can drill into the door frame vs. the ground. The screws provided didn't work for me since I had to drill through wood and concrete. The barricade piece is a substantial block – feels like metal and some type of plastic. The best part of this setup is when you don't need to barricade, the base plate heights goes well with the door threshold, so it's not a trip hazard.

We live in a nice neighbor/area, but to think a break in can’t happen is called complacency. Especially in today’s world where inflation and other economic issues are arising, this is a necessity now. Will definitely order another one for our backdoor! We use it for peace of mind while we sleep, this thing will definitely keep people out and if it doesnt, it will definitely, us as a family, prepare ourselves for the intruder. 100% every family should have this! Even if there is a power outage, it doesnt require anything. Easy install, easy to use, protection for life!

I wanted to add a little extra layer of security to my French doors. I feel really good about this piece. Seems to be quality construction. I followed the advice of other reviewers and did not use the included drillbit or screws. I ended up using tapcon screws and then painted the screws matte black once complete. I also rented a Roto hammer from Home Depot to drill the pilot holes. Your Ryobi probably isn’t going to cut it. :) But overall this seems to be a great piece and I would buy it again.

Looks to be a quality product and secure solution for french doors. Rather than placement on the side, as depicted in the illustrations and thereby requiring two, I am considering placing it in the middle. I am also considering returning it due to their obnoxious display of the their web address on the front of the device. While visible in the Amazon product photo, I didn't realize it is permanent and not removable.
