This is a review for:Hansgrohe Flowstar S bottle trap for wash basin, chromeI like the quality of this: it really looks great (it is meant to be seen) and whilst not particularly weighty it is clearly made of excellent materials.It is very neat and for cleaning out the thing dismantles easily.It has that modern look, and it does that very well.

This fitting provides a very neat and simple under sink waste trap for areas where these fittings are visible. It is also easy to clean out. It's ideal for fitting under a wall mounted sink.

Great S bottle trap for my wash basin.Its all chrome and looks really nice and good quality.Its a nice simple chrome design which looks really goodWater flows through without any issues.Easy to install it seems, I gave it to my handy man to fit and install in 30 mins.

Great modern stylish and easy to drain and clean out, easy application and worth a buy for a modern touch to your home.

We bought this to replace an old Hansgrohe botle trap. Hansgrohe are known for their German quality fittings and while it is stll good quality, this trap isn't quite as good as their older equivalents like the Axor Stark from years back. There is a lot of competition making similar styles which has probably required some cost cutting.Fitting these is very simple if you have the right spanner to hand although I did find the supplied O-rings were not good enough, i.e. if I ran a lot of water and the bottle trap backfilled a bit, it would weep out the top O-ring that fits the plug. The top screw for connecting to the plug is not high quality, it appears to be chrome covered plastic and being round, is not easy to really tighten and I would certainly not try a wrench on it as it would damage it. A small run of silicone would sort it but I just used a better O-ring on the top and problem solved.A slight concern is the joint between the vertical section that connects to the horizontal section and is rather loose, although doesn't appear to leak. It is not as good as I have seen in other / older products and I suspect could leak over time so might require silicone sealing.Note some of the similar products may not work for you if your plug hole is quite far from the wall, i.e. the horizontal waste pipe is quite long. There's quite a few traps that look like the Flowstar but will not reach far enough horizontally. Indeed, I had to return a couple and get this one and cut it down to length, so check your measurements.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this trap as I thought it was a quality brand and paid a hefty price for it, and this is very expensive for what it is. Upon arrival I didn't think it was much better than what you can buy for £20, but since it was labelled Hansgrohe I stuck with it. This trap leaks!! When installed it seemed OK, even though at time when it was tested, and for some reason the plumber used washing up liquid as well as water, and it was bubbles and foam that leaked from the trap, but the plumber said it because the washing up liquid is foam expanding and it's just the bubbles that are leaking out.. I have seen water on the floor under the trap in the past but never really took notice, but seems to be getting worse and upon closer inspection I saw that water is leaking quite a lot. I would not buy this inferior product again. Its not just the cost of the product, but the labour to get this replaced that I have to incur again. Have used much cheaper, non branded fancy traps in my previous house and they are still going strong two decades later.

I bought this item as I needed a new trap urgently next day.The overall appearance is OK and it goes together fine and does the job.However I would say that for the price there are better traps out there.
