Good stylish kettle that performs well.

Extremely fast boil kettle! Not as pretty as some of the De’Longhi kettles I’ve had but it looks nice and as my old one stopped working I needed one fast! Value for money:Very good value for moneyBoil speed:Fastest kettle I’ve ever used! Fabulous!Ease of use:extremely easy to use but seems a bit heavier than other kettles I’ve had. just a bit of caution! With it being metal, I’ve always just touched the kettle to see if it has just boiled as they have been plastic (all De’Longhi) they’ve never got too hot even immediately after boiling, but as this is a metal kettle though it doesn’t look it I almost burnt myself the first time I went to see if had boiled.

The media could not be loaded. Originally purchased from Amazon, with faulty switch. It wouldn’t stay down, so returned and replaced, replacement also had the same issue. Contacted delonghi who were really good and sent out a replacement… although this also has the exact same issue! 3 kettles all with the same problem. Must be a design issue. Purchased matching toaster which is fine.

I feel like the most important thing to note given other experiences I have noticed is that there seems to no longer be a problem with the switch though it certainly doesn't change the fact that the sticking out parts do look a little strange in my opinion with the very shiny metal appearance against the glossy coloured body. There were 3 things that stood out from the start compared to most ordinary kettles with the least important being the optional plastic ring that gives the base its odd plate-like appearance. Secondly the lid is not a flip one as people may be used to but I personally prefer completely removing it as compared to having to rely on a hinge to hold it up that'll probably weaken and fail over time (its also easier to clean that way). Thirdly I note that the water level display is not on the side of the kettle as is usually the case but behind the handle which may bother some people but I personally had no issue with that either.As for actually using it that was quite simple to do and it does in fact boil surprisingly quickly, the noise is not as loud as you would expect from the boiling speed though the volume does kick up just before it finishes (this is normal). The handle feels sturdy to hold even with the kettle filled up high and pouring was not an issue for me either, the simple mesh filter also did its job nicely as you would want but its to be expected.While I am admittedly not too sure of its recommendability at its full cost of £70 I do note that it does occasionally go down to £50 and is so at the time of writing making it potentially worth getting if you are a fan of its appearance (and need a new kettle of course).

We decided to splurge and get a set with toaster. Kettle is gorgeous, so elegant and well made. I love the handle and the fact that it has a metal body and can already tell it’s going to be easy to clean fingerprints. Love!!!!

2 design faults on this kettle, 1 lid needs 2 hands to take it off, 2 you cannot see how much water is in the kettle as the handle blocks your view, not good.

We have the Rivelia coffee machine and this compliments it perfectly
