Expected Nothing Less from Aston Brand
This is very light and much smaller than I thought it would be but perhaps that’s a good thing. It’s wasy to put together however I was sure to exercise care after reading other reviews. I’m using mine with the Aston Origin with zero issues. It took me a while to get the sound correct but that has nothing to do with this items/functionality. Just be cautious when assembling and and you’re all set!

It is what it is.
First one came in a plastic bag where it damaged the screen. They replaced as easy as it was purchased. In the faith as I’d return the one I had. Beautifully designed and gives my mic a beautiful appearance.

Best thing I could have done.
Prefect for my IsoVox 2. I saw this one in a local national music store, but I didn’t want to spend the money. So, I purchased the clipon version just to return it for this one. Best thing I could have done. I love this one! Fits like a glove.

Make sure it will support your mic
This is a relatively large shock mount/plosive screen, but most plosive screens are this large or larger. My only concern is the strength of the springs holding the mic in place. It will support the Aston Origin (mic diameter and weight), but I doubt that a much heavier mic would be supported. What holds the mic in place is a pinch clamp sort of thing (common for pencil mics). I think that most of my large diameter condenser mics might slide out. I would have preferred stronger springs in the grasping mechanism. An AT 4050 was too heavy for it, and immediately began to slide out. But back on a positive note, it is a nice shock mount design, and the metal pop screen does dissipate my plosives. I will probably have the mic at mouth level rather than nose level for doing VO.

Came broken
Came completely snapped obviously it was damaged when sent to me because there isn’t enough rubber to assemble it completely so someone returned this after they broke it. Extremely disappointed luckily I don’t have all the stuff I need to use my interface or microphone so I was assembling everything to see if it worked. I’ll change my review when the other one doesn’t come broken.

couldn’t hold the mic at all.. rubber star shock mount band ripped/split in 3 places
i liked the cheaper cost on the item.. but the rubber star strap that holds the mic up was split in 3 spots in the front so it will not hold the mic up at all.. i rigged it up to hold for now and i ordered a replacement piece tht cost around 20-25$ and it’ll be here in a week or so.. i understand packaging issues.. or light scratches, but the main rubber band star part tht keeps it balanced and bouncy .. basicly the main part of the shock part.. but for the price i can deal with the replacement parts..
