English Electric Upright Tall Freezer EEF170H 168L Litres 55cm Wide, White (EEF170H)

Nice sized upright freezer (not too large as I live alone) with good sized, deep drawers that hold quite a lot. Appliance runs quietly ~ not that it needs to for me because it's in the garage ~ and efficiently, but for those who would have it in the kitchen/utility I would thoroughly recommend. Much easier on my back than my old chest freezer! Fairly attractive (as freezers go) and very reasonably priced.

Quality- This is a very good quality freezer, I have now had this freezer over 6 months, the door seals are still in tact, the drawers all in one piece and no wear and tear issues noted.Ease of use- When first bought the freezer door was a workout to open it each time as it had a very strong pull to it. After a few months and some serious pop-eye muscles, this has eased off, or I have got stronger!Functionality- It does what it says on the tin, it freezes and does a good job freezing ice in just over 3 hours.Temperature- There are three settings on the freezer that you can adjust the freezer temp, Min, Normal, Max. I have kept mine on normal as I am not using it as a deep freezer, but the setting is there if I wished to.Fit- as it is a freestanding freezer the fit was not such an issue for me i just wanted it to fit into a space in my front-room and the dimensions let me know what size to work with and it is true to size.Noise level- There is no noise heard from this unless you plant yourself right on top of the freezer with your ear against it, a slight whirring sound can be heard.Extras- most freezers say frost free but I still get frost, this freezer is very good as yes there is some frost but not much and this is mostly due to how long the freezer door is open for.

I would have liked a handle on the door,just have to remember opening point is approx halfway down on left side of door,I don't think it will hold 10 bags of shopping,I am getting less in this one than I did in my old freezer,yet I measured my old one and there seemed to be very little difference. whereas my old freezer was quite noisy,I like the fact that this one is silent.depth could be a little better.But it looks good,is running well and doing a good job of keeping my frozen food frozen

Bought this as it's made by White Knight and we've had their appliances before. It's a great quality item and looks really tidy, performs well and has plenty of space. It has one less drawer than our old freezer of the same capacity but the other drawers are deeper which actually makes loading it easier. The top shelf also has a pull out tray rather than those silly flaps that always break, and this also makes it easier to access.Delivery was good although I thought they were to unpack and remove the packaging - this didn't happen but it wasn't much effort to do this myself. Delivery was only a few days and we were given the choice of two days so I didn't have to take time off work to wait for it.Overall, I'd recommend this item and the manufacturer.

Mine sits in the garage and is a suitable capacity for that location. The temperature cycles between -17°C and -21°C which is fine. The temperature is adjustable, with the adjustment located at the top of the main box so is easy to access. It draws less than 1 amp so should be cheap to run. It is whisper quiet. The door has self closure when the door is slightly ajar, so if you haven't closed the door fully, it will close itself. That's very useful, our fridge freezer in the house often has its doors left open a little. The finish is a quality looking white paint and easy to clean. All in all we are very pleased with this unit and the price looks about right. So we can highly recommend this product.

The freezer works well, but I have to hold it when opening the door to stop it moving as the suction on the door seals is very strong. I would also like a light so I can see what is in the freezer.

I have had this for a while now and it has not iced up so far. It is sturdy with a good door seal. Any noise does not bother me as it is suitable for outbuilding use. It performs very well and is the right height for me to be able to access all drawers easily. Lots of storage space.
