Make sure to use a 67 (70?)watt power brick. This cable does NOT work with MBA24's 30w OEM brick.
I had received this cable from amazon once and returned it for a new cable as a result of thinking that the cable had been faulty. The new cable likewise, did not work with my MacBook Air 2024. So, I went through the reviews to see if other people had had similar issues as myself. Which they did, with their MacBook Airs (presumably, 2024s).One review, stuck out to me in particular, a user here, whose MBA DID charge with this cable, but only when it was attached to their Mac Studio. After seeing most of the reviews with positive experiences were for older MBA models and MBPs... I found something which seemed like a common denominator. All these devices some stock / OEM with 70w / 67w charging bricks. Though, the 2024 MacBook Air uses a 30w brick (the same as the iPad pros / and airs.). As such, not wanting to return the second cable, and with a hunch, I went to purchase a 67w charging brick for this cable, and lo and behold, it charged and worked as anticipated.I HIGHLY suggest noting on the product description as well as the listing that the unit ONLY works with 67/70watt charging bricks. Users with the 2024 MBA will think the charger doesn't work, but the cable DOES. It just doesn't work with THEIR BRICK.

Didn’t work for me
It would charge my laptop and then switch itself off or the light would switch off and I’d connect and reconnect to get it working again. This is the second cord I’ve bought (a different brand) that does the same thing. I had to ask myself why would I spend $2000 on a laptop and then try to save $30 on an extra cord…the math wasn’t mathing so I’m breaking down and buying an Apple original cord. Apart from fraying after several years of use I’ve never had a problem out of them so I’m going back to the standard of quality and not price. And funny, none of these type are mfi certified…there’s probably a reason why.

It just works.
I bought an Apple MacBook Air last year and I was overjoyed to see that Apple had put the MagSafe charging port back on the MacBook Air, and they made it even more useful by making it a USB C cable, so you can plug it into charger with a USB C output and leave the USB C ports on your MacBook Air free for other things. I immediately wanted another one of these cables so I could have one in my laptop bag and leave one at home. Unfortunately Apple wants 50 bucks for their MagSafe 3 adapter cable, which is ridiculous because for 50 bucks it ought to come with a happy ending. There are a lot of no-name vendors out there selling Magsafe 3 adapter cables, but I've heard enough horror stories about cheap USB C cables burning out devices so I decided to go without until I saw that Anker was selling a Magsafe 3 adapter cable for $16.99. I've purchased cables, power bricks and headphones from Anker and have never had a problem. So I purchased Anker's cable and it works and now I have a Magsafe 3 adapter cable to live in my laptop bag. Thanks Anker!

works perfectly; same apparent quality as the original
I bought this as a spare for the cord that came with my macbook air 13 inch. It's very nearly the same as the original. At two months it's working fine, and my durability expectations are low. If it lasts a couple years I'll be happy. People complain it blocks the USB C socket. I haven't noticed that problem with the USB C plugs for the Lacie drives I use.

I stupidly left the mag cord cable in a hotel and I needed a replacement. This was great. I plugged it in to a the charging block and it worked like a charm. I'm thinking of ordering extras, because because well, this is not the first time. Good to know the replacement works like the original.

If you travel with a MacBook, you need this
This cable is totally equivalent to the Apple cable that comes with recent MacBooks (but it's much less expensive). If you're like me, you keep the Apple supplied cable plugged in near your work-at-home desk. That means I need another cable at work and another one in my travel bag. That may seem like overkill, but I'm never without the right cable.Get this cable and keep it in your travel backpack.
