First let me say that I am not new to 3D printing. My little print farm prints continually and this Creality is printer #8 for me. I have 5 Voxelabs and 3 Creality's. With this one I wanted to bump up to the latest in innovations with a current model. So far it has been a disappointment. The unit clicks continually, with poor output. I've gone through 3 nozzles in my first month and ton of wasted PLA. What I do like about it that my 7 others do not have, is the upgraded build plate. All of my other printers are glass. I also love the computer control feature. So far, not impressed with the direct drive and the spool placement on the model is just....well...a poor design. It just doesn't work. Your PLA continually tangles in the cables which are in the same space as the filament. I have a couple more days to decide if it's going back so I can downgrade to tried and true tech.UPDATE: After nearly a month of trying to get it to work, it pains me to have to send it back. This product is simply not ready for sale as designed. It has GREAT ideas that no doubt will be perfected in models to come, but do not buy this first generation unless you want to be a beta tester for the company. Its main flay is the filament feeding system. As designed it is horrible and non-functioning. They include two alternative mounting systems that both suffer from flaws of their own. There is a 3rd party fix out there that may work, but it will cost you an additional $60 to fix the manufacturers defect. Also, be ready to spend a fortune on nozzles as they cost incredibly more than standard printers and only last a few prints.I have always been a fan of their previous machines, but I will be going back to tried and true "old school" technology until this generation gets its bugs worked out.
