I got the shaft from Amazon and Portal
Updating my review July 16 2024. This pass weekend I went camping and used this tent. In my pass reviews I had issues when I bought this tent back in January of this year, I was missing a lot of parts to this tent, the only parts I received was the tent itself, the 3 top fiberglass poles for the roof of the tent, 6 poles for the 4 corners, front, and back of the tent. Now of course i wasn’t aware of the items missing until I went camping last month. I ended up buying 10 poles from the campground office and using a tarp for the roof I had, plus tie down 5/50 cord I had as well. To make things work. Once I got back home, the roller coaster began. I called Amazon, they told me to call Portal for help, I online chatted with Portal and they told me to call Amazon for help, lol. So I called Portal customer services, unfortunately the guy who I spoke to couldn’t help with my missing items, however he gave a phone number to call to their main HQ, the owners of Portal, Portal is just a small branch off of a larger company. Mind you this calling, chatting, and emailing took about 3 weeks. After back and forth emails. Last Monday I received a very large package in the mail. Not only did they send me the parts I was missing, but they sent me a whole new tent with the parts I was missing. Took me 3-4 weeks, but i finally got my problem solve better then i wanted it solved in the first place.NOW FOR THE ACTUAL REVIEW: Yes the tent is very spacious, it’s about 10x20, I didn’t use the divider and I used a 22” high queen size blown up mattress as my bed, plenty of room. We went camping at Put-in-Bay, Ohio and our campsite was located on the Clift edge of the island. It was a beautiful site to wake up to every morning. On the last two days of our camping trip strong winds was coming off the lake and a nasty thunderstorm came out of nowhere. We had 14 mph winds with 24 mph gusts. On a Clift side we was getting hit with all the wind. As for the tent, no problem it held up, of course the sides curved in, but nothing came close to looking like it would fall over or cave in. We was perfectly safe inside the tent. I think my issue buying this was a fluke and more likely will not happen again. So yes I will buy this product again and yes of course I refer them to anyone who’s looking for a great spaces, sturdy, open screened roof, plenty of windows, camping tent.OLD PREVIOUS HEADACHE REVIEWS:I purchased this tent back in January and didn’t get chance to look at, that’s on me. You need to find the time to do that. OR YOU’LL GET THE SHAFT.Me and my gf started to set this up this pass weekend. We noticed we was missing a lot parts. All we had was the tent, poles to put the tent together, and the center divider. It came with no stakes, the rain fly, awning and poles, the mud mat, and rope tie downs. The tent is big as it says it is, it doesn’t fit 4 queens as in the description, unless you stack em, but it’s my first tent you can actually stand up in. It was easy to set up and It does have a very nice open view to see the stars, but if it rains and you have no rain fly, your screwed.Update: I contacted Portal and they told me since I bought it through Amazon I had to contact them for any assistance. I contacted Amazon and they told me it’s the accessory pack that I was missing. However since it’s pass Amazon’s warranty date they couldn’t help me and told me to contact Portal for help. We know what Portal said, so I asked Amazon if I could buy the accessory pack through them. Amazon said no, because they discontinued the tent. Weird part is, it still shows up on their site, but for $100 more then what I paid for it. Anyways, I asked for a refund. They said since it’s out of the warranty date I would only get 80% of my return, but since I’m missing the accessory pack, I would only get 50% of my return instead. WOW like I said the shaft! I’ll just keep the tent and makeshift the missing pieces with rope and tarps. I’ll never buy a tent from Amazon or a Portal tent ever again. Shame it was a nice tent to.I been an Amazon Prime member since 2014.Update, i finally called Amazon customer service, they could help me, but they did give me a phone number to call. I called that number and its customer service for the owners of Portal. Portal is just a branch off of a much bigger company. They said they’ll send me what I’m missing all I have to do is provided them with my address and a copy of the Amazon purchase. Just had jump through a dozen loops to get to this point. Never give up, there’s always a way to win.

Affordable, spacious
We should all be water proofing our tents, but I had this one out for 6 days, in E Tx weather. We had wind and rain like we hadn’t seen in a long time. It held up, no water came in, and it was easy to set up (if you’ve set up tents your entire life), otherwise read the directions. They’re simple and the poles are color coded. So far, I’ve used it twice and it’s held up. This is an affordable, spacious ( 1 queen, two twin blow up mattresses and plenty of room for table and to move around. Even had an AC window unit zipped through one door!) overall a nice purchase. I do wish that all the newer tents would give us an option to have the windows completely open without the screen.

Awesome and roomy
Amazing tent. I waited till a few camps were in. When I got the tent, the first thing I noticed was how roomy it was. I was skeptical about the bottom being water proof but our most recent trip proved that it absolutely is. We were heavy downpoured on and water was between the tent floor and our ground tarp. Like a water bed. Not a single drop came in. I will note that we always have prepped our tents with a water repellent and we make sure to go over water seems but the floor which isnt prepped was awesome. I love that the vents on the bottom zip. On our heat wave trip we could fit a small window unit to protect us from the 95 degree heat wave.My only criticism is the poles for the porch. They just arent high enough to add enough slant for rain not to pool in the porch segment. For us we tossed those silling poles and bought customizable poles online. We now just guy line the porch to our tarp set up or roll it up and use our tarps.Over all... love live love the tent. The handles on the tent bag need reinforced with double stitching for the weight. Or a heavier fabric. That you for the bought zip out to make the bag bigger.Love the velcro inside for lighting and all the side pockets. Just really a great easy set up tent.

Good enough, but came already ripped
Update: I contacted the manufacturer, via their email, and they were easy to deal with. They promptly sent out a new tent shell to replace to defective one!The tent was easy enough to put up. I did it myself with some help from my 9 year old. Directions were easy to follow. When we set it up the first time, there was already a rip in the connector tab on one of the poles, this is a bit concerning since I'm sure over time it will get worse. However, we were already camping and there wasn't much I could do about it, so I just hoped it would be fine and make it through the trip without issues. Thankfully it did, but again I'm concerned that repeated set ups and usage will be an issue. The tent held up for our week of camping. There was tons of space. We didn't use the divider room this time, which have us good walk around area. Great head height. I can't even reach the top of the ceiling on my tiptoes (I'm 5'4").We went through a brutal rain storm, and we did not have any leaks! Even the dining tarp held up good!I would recommend this tent for anyone who is going car camping and needs space for people/stuff. The attached dining tarp is great, and makes it so I didn't have to bring a separate dining canopy.I'm sad that there was a manufacturing defect, and I didn't know until I was outside the return window. However, the tent still functioned and did what I needed it to.
