They just work!
Good holding power. While not represented as marine tie downs I mounted them to my trailer and after 3 years of launching in salt and fresh water they have held up well. My bot is $9K lbs and has now been trailered over 20K miles.

What a game changer
This sure saves the hassle of multiple straps getting tangled and twisted. Got 2 sets for my 10 foot utility trailer. Installed easily and works great. Since getting them, several friends have purchased also.

STRONG, GREAT, straps could be a little longer, need a "lock open" feature for tie-down
They are a 5-star but I gave it a 4 due to 2 issues I have. I mounted this on my T-Slot rails with extra T-screws I had, that part worked great!! I put 2 large washers under an elastic/nylon stop-nut and built what is available online for $180 (these straps with T-Slot screws) so I saved $100 and could not be happier!!For my small dinghy (Walker Bay 8) I had to slide the device in a couple of inches instead of where I wanted them at the ends of my crossbars, and the same for the cleat on the other side, only way I could pick up the few extra inches of strap I needed. I may find a short extension with a hook on each side but I don't want the hook leaning/pushing on the boat which is why I got these and not just using my ratchet-straps as the handles push directly on the boat which I want to avoid. And there is one design flaw - there is no way to lock the unit so the strap does not auto-retract (at least not that I could find) ... so I had to pull the strap out, climb onto my tailgate while holding the end, put it over my boat, climb down on the other side, then hook it on.I could not just throw the strap over the boat and walk around and grab the hook-end as it would auto-retract while I was walking to the other side. If you have 2 people you can then hold one side and throw the strap over the top to another person, I don't usually have 2 people when loading/unloading the boat.I could tie a line to the hook and bring it under the boat, tie the end down and walk to the other side, but I really just want to lock the roller in a position until I'm ready for it to retract. And this is why I marked "Easy to use" with a 4 and not a 5, and the whole unit with a 4 and not a 5. Whoever designed this never tested it with a boat.

Great straps
These are great straps I mounted them on my kayak trailer and they are perfect for my application.

The absolute Gold Standard when it comes to securing your toys!
Cargo Buckles are the absolute gold standard when it comes to tying down any of your toys. With these bigger ones... make sure you also buy their S-Hook adapters that go with this... and then also buy some Rhino straps to wrap around the frame of your motorcycle or whatever toy. If you can't find the S-hook adapters on amazon... you can go to or call the Cargo Buckle manufacturer and they will send them out to you. No other system is safer, easier or faster than the Cargo Buckle system. Have used them now to secure over 4,500 motorcycles for transport with my motorcycle towing business. I typically wind up replacing them after about 500 tows... or whenever you can spot some wear and tear on the strap themselves.
