Love it and use it often. I recommend food safe minwax. Hand-wash and cost it let the new block soak up the conditioner before ever using it. A beautiful piece of art and chopping utility. Slices and dices well. Very well made.

PROS: Very good for chopping up onions rapidly.CONS: Sharp points at the end of the blade are not so safe. Use seems limited: while it is good for chopping up sections of onions it is not a good option for initial slicing which needs a knife (frankly it seem dangerous to me to try to slice an onion using this as a knife - I tried). Wood is attractive but could have been better oiled or otherwise treated. I will use this occasionally for chopping up onions but not for much else.

This is a great product. Easy to use and clean. I also use it to cut up vegetables and meat for my small grandchildren. This would be a great wedding shower gift.

My favorite chopping tool. Even over the processor. Easy clean up, chop as minute as you want, it doesn’t fast and easy
