National Hardware V852 Anti-Sag Gate Kit

I'm one of those weird people that like to make sure my front garden gate is closed, it used to really bother me that 60-70% of the time I would look out of the living room window and the gate was just wide open either left open by the postman/woman, Amazon delivery drivers (that seems to come almost daily now) or my kids, it felt like I was forever having to go out and close the gate.Well no more!Bought this anti-sag gate kit along with a gate spring, fitted them both on the same day, it probably took me maybe 20-30 mins to install both, now my gate no longer sags or drags on the path, the anti-sag gate kit seem to work great so far, along with the fitted gate spring my front garden gate now closes effortlessly and without issue, was easy to install and does exactly what it is supposed to do.Now I look out of my window and the gate is closed 100% of the time, it makes me feel all warm inside.Just a heads-up, the wire is pretty long so if you are installing this anti-sag gate kit on a smaller front garden fence you may find that you have a lot of excess wire, I only had the plier style wire cutters but they just couldn't cut through so had to invest in bolt cutters to trim the wire down.

Perfect for a bent gate, straightened the gate and very easy to use.

It does the job nicely and it is easy to install

Used this to lift up a gate that was poorly braced. A lot easier and cheaper than building a new gate (or trying to fix the original).Easy to fit, and tighten up with a few tools.

I don't often leave reviews unless I'm impressed with something and I'm impressed with this kit. It might be too early to see if it's a permanent solution to an ongoing problem with a sagging gate but I'm optimistic as it worked straightaway. It was relatively easy to fit after I'd adapted the gate as it was supposed to be fitted to the z frame, which, by the way is fitted in the wrong direction. I don't think it will rust as it's galvanised.

The product in itself is good and does what it says. BUT, if you're planning on using this for a gate already in situ, you will need to remove your gate to attach this.The fixings for the corner brackets are on the top and side of the gate / bottom and side of the gate. It would make a lot more sense to have the fixing holes on the face of the gate so it can be attached with the gate in situ.Other than that, it does its job well.

Great kit, easy to install & works well. I used two kits to raise two gates & was very pleased with the results

This product does the job it's supposed to but the hooks are impossible to fit on the corner of the gates you have to but eye hooks 🪝 separately to make this apparatus work
