Great value for a business class laptop!
I just got a few of these for an office I work with from the Dell outlet and I paid more than this Amazon deal of the day with what I thought was a pretty good coupon. I guess I wish I would have waited a few weeks... This is a great business class laptop. It's as thin and light as you can get while still being a very sturdy laptop. It comes with a 3 year warranty and I keep buying the Dell 7000 series because they last! It's not the cheapest, but I've paid well over a grand for these same specs new so this is a very good deal. They're sturdy. I carry a previous 7450 model and I've treated it horribly for the past few years. I've dropped it down stairs and dropped it off the roof of a car (onto asphalt!). I've tripped over the cord and pulled it off a table. My 7450 has war damage! One of the corners is bumped and I have a few scratches. It still works perfectly. There are no guarantees that it will survive drops, but I've seen this line take a beating. I had a client spill a whole glass of wine in a 7470 and that wasn't as lucky. But these really are built to last. The business class machines by Dell aren't the prettiest, but these 7000's are pretty thin and 3 pounds but still sturdy! This one comes with a m.2 SATA SSD. Both of the ones I got are HK Hynix SC311 models. It will take NVME M.2 SSD with 2 lanes, but both of the ones I got from the deal of the day come with this same SATA m.2 drive. The 7480 has a lot of good features. You get three normal USB and one USB C. The power port takes a standard Dell charger that are very common. It has a full size HDMI port, a micro SD port, a single headphone jack (sound and voice), and an ethernet port. It can come with a smart card slot but I'm not sure if that's optional. The one one this page comes with the standard Dell webcam. The webcam is pretty good for a built-in camera, and the microphone does sound good. There is an optional Windows Hello webcam with infrared, but the one on this page doesn't have it. There is a place where the sim card goes if you have the cellular modem, but these won't come with the cellular modem so you can't use the sim slot. The two I ordered from this product page have come with Intel AC wireless cards. It's just like seven or eight Phillips screws to remove the bottom cover. They have two ram slots and both I got came with two 4GB ram sticks. The battery is under the bottom cover and I'm not sure how easy it is to get a replacement. The SSD is also easy to access under the cover. You can also access the wireless card with the bottom removed. The screen is pretty good, but I have seen variations in the screen. Some are better than others, but they're all pretty good. I've not seen as much backlight bleed as I did with the 7450s. The one we're getting is a matte screen and is not touchscreen. It is full HD 1920x1080.The speakers are nice for a laptop. It has pretty good sound and it gets loud enough. I've rarely had better in a laptop, but I've had a lot worse. I don't know that it's good enough that I'd want to listen to music on it, but I'm picky about music. I've used the 7480 for netflix and been happy. The keyboard is great. It feels nice. Both of the ones I ordered from this page have backlit keyboards with the joystick nub in the middle. With the FN key, you have audio controls, screen brightness, and a few other things as secondary options of the "F" keys. The two I just got came with the 4 cell batteries. A few weeks ago I setup an office with 7480s and the same 4 cell batteries. The office I just set up with these uses them a whole work day without charging. They're not using them hard. They probably use it for 20 minutes and then are away from their desk for 20 minutes and so forth all day. We have power saving turn the screen off after 5 minutes. Because I haven't tested it straight up, I don't want to say the 4 cell battery lasts for 8 hours straight... I do know it lasts them all day and they've still got a third or quarter of the battery at the end of the day.The 3 year warranty is an on-site warranty which means Dell sends a tech to you for warranty hardware repairs. There's no way I would buy an HP refurbished with their 90 day warranties, but I buy a lot from the Dell outlet with their full warranties on refurbished products. This warranty is not an accidental damage warranty (doesn't cover drops and spills). The bad part is that it's not going to be their nicer pro support warranty where you get to talk to US support. If you order from Dell, you can upgrade the warranty but you can't upgrade the warranty to accidental damage or pro support if you buy it here on Amazon. If you need support, the phone call won't be fun, but the repair itself will be great in my experience. I actually don't have problems with the phone call, but I'm a computer tech. I hear from my clients that they hate the phone call!I love the 7480. I've used one for a few weeks full time. I've helped clients buy a lot of them and work with them weekly. I bought two here on Amazon from the product page I'm reviewing when they were deal of the day. The medical offices I work with want something light, but they also want it to last. It's not amazingly beautiful, but it's nice looking. It's modern but still sturdy. I really like this and I suggest it to clients all the time.

Customer service for GoGet computers is really great.
We bought this computer for our child who needed to have one for online schooling. This computer is perfect for that. In the last couple of months we have had a couple of issues with the computer, a microsoft update messed up the audio, GoGet sent me a link to fix it and it worked. We also had an issue with battery life, they sent me a link to buy a new one and refunded me the money for it. Great service, great computer, great price.

Unfortunately, this machine had to be returned
I purchased this refurbished machine to use, not as a primary computer, but as a backup machine on a very important project. When the machine arrived it was in very good external condition. It appeared to have seen very little use. Once started up, its display revealed no obvious bad pixels; it was just as specified from the seller. However, as often is the case, the version of Windows 10 installed on a refurbished machine was the one with which it originally shipped. As soon as it had an internet connection, it began downloading Windows updates to its four year old operating system. Right away it encountered a blue screen of death, something I had not experienced in Windows 10. Repeated attempts to restart the downloads had the same result. I contacted the seller, and one of the IT staff provided a link directly to Dell which resulted in a list of updates (including firmware updates). Again I ran into the same type of problem. At first a blue screen of death was encountered which interrupted the download. After a second attempt, all 10 downloads succeeded in downloading, but during the installation of the 6th update another blue screen of death was encountered. At that point I suspected the machine may have been damaged in shipping. I contacted the seller again, and after reporting the results to the same person on the IT staff, I was immediately furnished with a label (via e-mail) to return the machine for a full refund. This was a disappointing result for both the seller and myself, but they were polite and helpful throughout the process. Because I possessed the machine for less than 24 hours, for this review I rated the features for which I purchased it. It did not have a touchscreen, because I prefer to use machines without touchscreens. That component uses a fair amount of battery power, and though it can be disabled in Device Manager, power is still consumed by that component (on the motherboard). There are many features to like about the machine, including its complement of USB ports, its "embedded" numeric keypad (a helpful feature now removed from almost all notebook keyboards), its backlit keyboard, webcam, processor, sufficient RAM and 512GB SSD. These things happen, and the best result comes from good customer service.

This is a great laptop should it started as one would have expected.
I already have one of these and wanted a second. I was and am fully aware it was a total re-condition. Once received, sooner than expected, I plugged it in made certain of a good charge and turned it on. Much to my dismay, it would not open windows with a specific code. Rather than the usual return process, I elected to call Dell whom wanted a few bucks to repair and Amazon tech support whom said to return it. Instead I found the number on the ship package of whom shipped it and called them. I received voice mail and left message. It so happens I am a Best Buy tech support member and happen to be going by there closest location this particular day so I dropped it off. No sooner did it get dropped off the person whom shipped and refurbished the laptop called me and assured me either way he would make it right. Then Best Buy called and stated it was good to go. I say all that to say. This is a great product, Amazon, as always, is there to back the sale, the seller was there to back the sale and the product and BB tech support was awesome. Whats not to like !!

Don't buy a "renewed" computer from Amazon!
I bought a renewed Dell 7480 Latitude from Amazon and their reseller Ingram Renew. The first computer worked for 1 week and then stopped working. They convinced me to get another renewed Dell Latitude 7040. That computer never worked! It was a horrible buying experience!

Latitude 7480 - renewed
Good value for money, complete all rounder for every day use.Just to note it has crashed a few times, small movement of laptop caused it to crash which is very strange. What testing was done would be my question to fix an issues. Can be lucky or unlucky depending on laptop you get. For cost would you risk it.
