This is my favorite pair of Loppers!
This is my second set of these exact loppers. The first pair lasted 11 years before they broke because of my abuse-I cut and twisted them trying to cut too large of a branch. I replaced them with the exact same model because they work very well. They are sharp/keep sharp, easy to leverage/use, long enough for reach and importantly light weight. I have another very well made, sturdy loppers of another brand that are heavy to use. I don't like to use them much because they are just too heavy to use overhead all the time. If you are up on a ladder trimming a tree, you don't want/need a heavy pair of loppers to add to your work. For me these Corona loppers are the perfect combination of size and weight. If I need to cut anything larger than these will cut, I use a pole saw or hand saw.

OUTSTANDING BY-PASS-TYPE Lopper
OUTSTANDING by-pass-type lopper. Having SOLID handles instead of the sliding “adjustable length” handles makes for a very firm and confident feel. Blades slide smoothly - - with STRONG effort and 3 or 4 squeezes, it cut nicely through true 2-inch branches. Longer-than-most handles makes up for some of the fact that the blades are not articulated for leverage. [However, such longer handles are a disadvantage when cutting WITHIN dense branches or heavy overgrowth, because all those leaves and branches get in the way of fully opening the handles.] A REALLY GOOD BUILD.

Hefty yet lightweight
I have used Corona loppers for years with excellent results. The cutting blades on this unit were bigger than my previous loppers. The handles were longer, too, which allowed for a lot of cutting force on the shrubs that I took down. Despite its size, the loppers are not heavy because of the tubular handles. I am satisfied with this purchase. The main thing that I will be on the lookout for is the longevity of the "bumpers". Typically that is the part that will give out first. For those of you who are wondering, the loppers were assembled in Mexico, with parts made in the USA, Taiwan, and Vietnam. So even though Corona is a US company, the loppers are 'Global'.

Very satisfactory, but not for every job
These loppers are surprisingly lightweight, and as easy to use as any with 32" handles could be, i.e. a little awkward. They appear to be well made and sturdy, but I haven't yet used them long enough to know how durable they will turn out to be. I think they will be, if they're used for their intended purpose. They're orchard loppers, not heavy-duty ones. They're designed to cut live branches up to perhaps 1/2" in diameter. And I wouldn't advise using them on hard, dead branches that large. I may be underestimating them, but when I use them to cut something that's too large or too hard, the handles flex in a way that's worrisome. If heavy-duty loppers are too heavy for you, trying using a small saw instead. I find a Bear Saw with a large-toothed blade very satisfactory for this purpose, and easier to use than a pruning saw. One last point that may be obvious--loppers with 32" handles are *not* very useful for cutting branches up close. I quickly learned to also carry a pair of short-handled shears with me when working with them!

A solid standout product
We have bought quite a lot of loppers over the last 30 years and I loved these from the first cut. Nice balance, cuts clean with ease, not cumbersomely heavy, couldn't be more impressed and great price.

Great quality and light weight loppers
I used to work in a commercial orchard so I know and understand the value of a great pair of loppers. I wanted a wooden handled pair but I opted to try these aluminum ones instead since I only have a dozen trees and not hundreds like we used to do. So far these have proven to be great quality, lightweight and very sharp. I haven't cut anything too large yet so I am interested to see how the aluminum handles hold up with larger cuts.

Very solid, makes clipping easy.
Had to purchase a new set of clippers due to my old ones failing to fully cut small or soft branches no matter how much they were adjusted or sharpened. These Corona AL 8462 clippers are a tremendous improvement. I've used them to cut up branches trimmed from oak trees and have had no problem cutting thru thick (1.5") pieces. It also cuts the very small pieces clean through on every clip. Something my old clippers never did, even when new. I seen some reviews about the handles breaking, but I see no problem with them. They seem solid and have done fine cutting hard oak branches.
