Works great for bettas! This was the only thing that helped with fin rot and swim bladder. It does change water color, but not a big deal because you have to do water changes!

I decided to bring a few of my smaller goldfish in from the pond to overwinter indoors. One had a white, somewhat fuzzy spot on its back, so I immediately thought ick. I treated the tank, but the spot didn't go away. After a bit of research, I found it might be a fungus. So after reading the reviews, I purchased. I followed the instructions and took the carbon filter out of the main filter, then dropped a tablet in. Within 2 days, the spot on the affected fish's back was half the size. I'll keep an eye on it and treat the tank again if needed, but hopefully, this will take care of it.

After reading several reviews online I decided to buy this to clear a fungus infection on one of my betta. Unfornately another betta that I have that lives in the same tank developed dropsy because of an ant that fell in the tank and started looking like a pinecone. I looked behind the box of the fungus clear and it said it also treats dropsy. As you know dropsy is deadly and 95% of the fish that developed dropsy dies within 15 days. I was very sad, I had this betta for years and i took very good care of it. He stopped eating, stopped swimming around and couldn't move much at all. I decided to use fungus clear and hope that my betta can fight off the disease with the help of the medication. I removed the carbon filter, and droped a tab in the tank. It started fuzziness up and turned the the whole tank into lime green color. For the first 4 days, nothing seems to work on the betta that developed dropsy, but it was clearing up the the patchy fungus on another betta that I have. On day 5, the betta that developed dropsy started eating again. Still, it didn't ate much, and it didn't swim at all. It stayed and rested on top of the plant. So I continue to pray and hope that he'll stay strong and fight it off. On day 6, he started to ate a bit more, but still, it isn't swimming around and stayed at the same place, resting. I just assumed that he is just like us, when we are sick we needed to rest in the bed. So I continue to pray and hope that he'll soon recover and i believe rhat he will. Today is day 7, I woke up and went straight to look at my betta, to my surprise, he started swimming around like before, he's pinecone body started to return back to normal and he is approaching me, eating again! He was so lively he literally jumped out of water for food! Also, the other betta that developed fungus infection was nearly 90% cleared! This medicine works! I'm going to do a second dose as per the instruction and change out 25% of the water. I'll continue to pray until they all recover. Thanks fungus clear, it works! I'll also keep you guys posted on the progress!

I only gave four stars because I HATE the lack of specific instructions. I am still searching for the answer of how long to medicate. I put my baby in a quarantine 1 gallon tank. His fin rot was nearly to his body because i gave water changes and betafix a shot with too slow of results. So i bought jungle fungus which was at Walmart for under $4. I broke up the tab down down down to what looked like 10% (for 1 gallon) and gave him a 100% water change with the tab. Not 2 days later my little betta boy is HAPPY!!! I only have had him for a month, and purchased him at petsmart with fin rot (new to this and didn't know what that was at the time). The whole time he was lethargic, nearly killed himself from not eating, and just generally a very sad looking creature. Now my boy is swimming constantly, eating like a pig and is actually interested in getting to know me, his new mom! Holy crap! Big change, a little weird with the water color change (dont leave light colored rocks in the tank, they dye blue from medicine), but over all am super excited about his recovery which took a month to reach. All thanks to this medicine.My process (which I had to make up on my own since the company gives you vague instructions) is a 50% water change every 2 days with another 10% tab added. I am currently on my 3rd water change medicine application in a total amount of time of one week and my beta is showing zero sign of illness or stress. His fins aren't back yet, but they are also not rotting anymore! Don't hesitate like I did, get this stuff for almost immediate relief!
