Very nice little set, all the pieces go together without trouble, hold well, and the instructions are on point. Car looks great! looks great on my shelf and it gets a lot of compliments.

For a non-Lego set I will say that the completed model looks very nice. The instructions are far better than many found in other "off-brand" building sets. The car is identical to the one in the popular anime. The build is easy enough to follow and once completed it makes a very nice display piece. If you know an Initial D fan or are one yourself, this is worth picking up at this price. It makes a great gift or afternoon activity.

Hi all,This car is definitely not remote controlled. I don't know why the rating has a spot for giving "remote control" a star value.However, the car IS a very nice little kit- nothing complicated, just a bit of fun for the kids when they need something to do for a few minutes.The price is a little high for this kit, but the overall value is pretty decent! The car looks good when completed and the pieces are great quality. Overall I think this is a pretty good deal!

This set was a blast to build. I know next to nothing about the anime that it is based on, but this was the car my wife owned back in the 90s so of course I had to get it for us to build. It's really unlike any other brick set we've built - core is traditional bricks but the outer layer of car are all big molded pieces that cause the end product to feel like a smaller Playmobil vehicle than a traditional LEGO vehicle. And that's a good thing, because this thing is rad! Wish the other cars in the series were as cool - as it stands, this is an interesting one-off in our collection and as that it is perfect. Highly Recommended!

I'm not familiar with this brand of building blocks at all, this was my absolute first by them. The pieces were grouped together in 5 bags that made perfect sense when constructing the set. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and mimicked that of the best construction brick toy company in the way you want it to. The pieces fit together without a single problem, and every piece (except the headlights due to their weird, but understandable shape) was compatible with like market construction bricks of the same size.I have no complaints over this simple construction set except for a few nitpicks. The top of the hood has a smudge that is a cosmetic defect and not a simple thing you can buff out. If you really cared you probably have model paints that can clean it up easily, I don't care and I don't have the paints so it doesn't bother me too much. I don't like stickers on models, I always botch the job as you can see by my photos but other companies do this too so it's not really a real complaint as far as I'm concerned. All of the body pieces of the car are huge and there's only about 8 of them. The interior is very similar to how you expect a construction block set to be, but the actual body of the vehicle, while very accurate, just felt like playing with big model kits rather than blocks. Again a minor complaint but one none the less.Overall I wish I could rate this a 4.5 out of 5 instead of a 5, but with the cosmetic damage I know someone is going to want to know about that. But this set was enjoyable, I'd love to pick up another one by this company soon. The wheels work by the way. Vroom vroom!
