Great tape, very sticky
I bought this to put round the edge of my kitchen worktop cut-out where I'm going to install a new induction hob. The hob instructions say you need to do something to protect a standard wooden worktop, so I put on 3 coats of heat resistant paint and then this tape on top, so most heat should be reflected back and leave via the airflow channels, rather than be absorbed by the worktop.I've done the same 3 coats of heat resistant paint and a layer of this tape to a board that is designed to fit below the hob but above the cutlery drawer. Again the instruction book says you need to put some sort of separation in otherwise your cutlery/utensils will get very hot. I've seen various plates available to buy, but they seem to be ones that get fitted into a new kitchen cabinet, rather than something designed for retrofit. The tape itself is surprisingly strong for how thin it is, but is still easy cut with a regular pair of scissors or a stanley knife, so that you can mould it properly around corners, etc. It's very sticky, so line it up carefully before sticking down, though if I'd only put a couple of mm of a corner down, I was able to quickly lift it up if needed. It's a very large roll for what I needed, but an excellent price for the amount. I'd envisage having plenty left after this job for other random things, even if they just need "silver" tape for the colour rather than the heat reflecting properties, etc. Then again, my parents are thinking about getting a new induction hob too at some point, but they have a posh worktop so may or may not need the second half of this roll.

Brilliant, if you are patient!
Very adhesive and very flexible, however it is not quick or easy to use as it is extremely thin, as is the backing paper, which makes seperating the two very difficult and as a consequence it is slow to use. I found the only way to release the backing is with the sharp tip of a craft knife and reading/close vision specs!Overall I'd say its a good product if you are patient.

Great for insulating
Has three velux loft windows fitted and noticed poor framing out of original windows, so used this when I framed out and insulated the surround before boxing in, has reduced draft and cold spots by a lot.Great adhesion, plenty on the roll, so good value.

Great product and easy to use
Used to tape Kingspan board and gaps. Just be a bit careful with how much backing you peel off the tape to expose the sticky surface as it can tear.
