Such a great purchase
Bet Crocker stands up to its name in satisfaction. The book itself in binding and pages is well-made. The recipes are delicious. The readability is clear.

Lots Of Carbs.
Good recipes, great visuals and photos, and straight forward nutrition info for each recipe. None of this net carb mumbo jumbo. However, as a type 2 diabetic, the nutrition education I have received advocates a low carb diet. My nutrition experts, one of which has a Ph.D in diabetic nutrition say to keep the carb intake close to 25 to 30 grams of carbs per meal. Many of the recipes in this book exceed this guideline considerably. With that being said, the American Diabetes Association is more liberal when it comes to daily carb intake. For people with diabetes, the typical American diet provides around 2,200 calories per day, with 50% coming from carbohydrates, equivalent to about 275 grams of carbs per day. However, research indicates that a low carbohydrate diet (120 to 225 grams of carbs) or very low carbohydrate diet (20 to 60 grams of carbs) per day may produce the most dramatic results in managing blood glucose levels and weight. Everyone is different but for me, most of the recipes in this cookbook are too high in carbs for me. There are some recipes in the book that I can have however so I'll keep this cook book as it's very well done.

Great Condition
The recipes are easy and taste good. Having to eat healthy can sometimes be very bland, but the recipes in this cookbook are far from bland. Refreshing change!

Not the best set of recipes
It is an ok book with lots of info for Diabetes, however, there are a lot of gluten-free, low-fat, etc. recipes, and the ingredients for them are costly, rice flour, tapioca flour, etc. I do not keep this stuff on hand. When I do buy it for one recipe, it goes to waste. Some of the recipes have 50 carbs for a serving. How is that good for a diabetic? My Libre 3 will be buzzing away if I have one portion. I would be better off just watching portions to control my diabetes.

Just what I wanted.
I saw this book in a store and looked through it. Ultimately Amazon was cheaper so I ordered it. This book has recipes I can see myself making daily. Very easy to understand and recommend to others.

Excellent cookbook with the REAL carb values and not the net carb values
Of all the diabetic cookbooks, this is the only one that uses full carb counts for their recipes. I needed that. My doctors have told me that the actual net carb calculation out there is incorrect. Straight subtraction of non-soluble fiber from carbohydrates are incorrect. Other cookbooks advertise the 'net' carbs and caused me nothing but headaches to get the real carbs (seriously, having to reinput a recipe to get the real values is NOT fun). This is our family go-to for recipes with the easy number of carb servings in the upper corner so we can quickly flip and find the 2 carb servings and below that I am restricted to. I highly recommend this cookbook. I only wish there were more recipes that were not fish related in the main dish area because I can't eat seafood. :)
