Many problems, even before putting into use. 1. Needs weather-proof treating and probably felting too, if you want any longevity 2. Flimsy construction. 3. Useless assembly instructions and no additional help on Cocoon website. 4. Not compatible with standard automatic door opener (despite Coocon assurances), without modification. 5. The claims for hen capacity are in my opinion doubtful. These Cocoon henhouses are much smaller than you expect given the claims for hen numbers. Their maximum numbers would mean really cramming them in.In all, I recommmend you be very wary.

Arrived quickly. Spent 2 hours building with my cold filled husband. It looks good but as for hen numbers I think 10 would be the max. There are 5 perches and 8 nest boxes and we are buying 8 chickens. As for quality my husband says flimsy, poorly treated, rubbish construction poorly made as he had to alter a few things to get it all to fit together and he thinks he will be spending more time repairing the coop than collecting eggs! I said I thought it had a 10 year guarantee, he said more like 10 minutes. We will see how it goes. It's our first coop. I think he is going to buy a standard 6x4 shed for the 6 Turkeys soon to arrive.

would be better if bottom tray came out of the back rather than the front. have to move house away from the run to pull it out.perches keep coming out of holders.

This arrived really promptly. It's the second one we've ordered. Quick to put together and looks really nice in the garden.

Flimsy construction. Thin plywood means screws are always insecure. Lid blows open in mild winds. Not predator proof. Despite assurances, you will not be able to secure an automatic opener to this model it simply would take the weight. Last week lid blew off and twisted struts, screws were torn out damaging plywood badly. I was told roof should be secured in winds (how?) surely this was the job of manufacturer to make a secure coop. I have two other coops, no problems. Do not be tempted because this coop looks pretty in a picture. Better an old and ugly coop that keeps the hens safe.Company said it had never had adverse comments about this coop, but common sense and just looking at a few of the review above, tells me this is not the case. If you care for the well being of your chickens, avoid these coops. They are not fit for purpose
