Well detailed guidebook.
I bought this book back in 2020 while playing through BOTW and it is worth its weight in rupees. While I do enjoy the challenge of discovering and working through things on my own, I appreciate having a crutch. Listen, once upon a time I’d never think to reach for the book and scroll through its glossy, illustrative and detailed pages for a hint. However! I’m a grown man with nothing to prove and less and less time on my hands. While working full time + OT and managing a kiddo at home, it’s not even close to my intention to spend a shameful amount of time figuring something out. I particularly appreciated the recipe book and found it very helpful. Well a finished BOTW while my daughter was a wee little one and am thankful to have had the assistance of the book when needed. I’m now finally getting to TOTK as she’s nearing 3. I’ll be damned if I’m not buying Piggyback’s guidebook for that as well.I remember reading several reviews prior to purchase that the text was too small. I cannot deny that the text is smaller than I would call ideal but it’s absolutely legible to an average eye. Only other slight hiccup I can recall is being slightly disappointed when the book arrived with a few dings and a tear on the spine. Probably not the sellers fault at all and a shipping issue, it still reads just fine!!Not only is this book very detailed, contains MANY useful images (even if they are screenshots! Guess what? You’re going to see the same thing on your screen!! It’s as if this book is intended to help guide you through the game. Oh wait….) This book is ART and will always be a wonderful momento.

Definitely recommend. Awesome quality awesome book.
This is one of the best books I’ve ever seen. It’s not only a great game walk-through and guide, but it’s fantastic quality the pages are great. The pictures are awesome and it’s very easy to follow. Any of itself it’s a great book. It’s a great thing to keep, but it also helps you walk through a game and make it far more enjoyable. Especially for the kids.

Map insert worth every penny!
I did TOTK first and the book was helpful. This one seems to make following instructions easier. I absolutely love it. Large insert map dividing Hyrule in 9 6 x 9 rectangles by region. One side shows location of all shrines, towers, stables, villages and ruins. The other side is a treasure map. Who doesn’t love a treasure map? Shows locations of higher value weapons, high value ore locations, koroks, rare materials etc. Buy with game and enjoy.

Breath of the wild zelda
As Nintendo has done since it's cooperation made us love Nintendo. They have always been part of the American family and helpful in every way. These books r masterfully crafted with art and knowledge as exciting as the Egyptian hyroglyphs. Totally worth your time and very affordable.

Great Book for Zelda lovers of all ages
This book is amazing. It is so detailed and exactly what my Zelda loving son needed. I can't tell you how many times he researches through this book while playing the game on his switch. It is beautifully designed, heavy and is a hardback book which is a plus. I highly recommend!

Great Tool For Game Completion - Pictures Could Be Better - Beautifully Made
First, this is quite an attractive hardcover book. Beautiful design, build and cover art. Pages are fairly heavy semi-gloss stock. Illustrations are cool and add a nice touch, though screen shots are just okay overall - nothing special. I'll touch on this aspect more later in the review. In general though, you do feel like you really got something special for your $36. Okay, that's out of the way. What you are presumably considering buying this book for is game guide information, right? Well have no fear because this book largely delivers. Be advised that the book is thick and with good reason. As many of you already know, Zelda BOTW is a HUGE game with lots to do. As expanse as the game is, it's entirely unlikely that you'd be able to find and/or solve all elements of the game on your own (unless you have an unlimited amount of time to spend for the next year or so). So this book proves quite useful in getting the most game play value per dollar and hour spent. The book is well organized. Game aspects are broken down by type (enemies, shrines, foods, weapons, potions, parts, etc.). So it's easy to get a comprehensive look at what you're dealing with in the game on a macro level if you desire. This is great to use as a reference of what's actually available in the game and for just browsing about, especially if you are a beginner with BOTW. However, this isn't the typical way you will use the book as you progress through the game.I have found that by far the most practical and effective way to utilize the book is via the index. Generally, I play the game and reference the book only when I run into an issue or have a question. Have a shrine that is giving you fits? (There are plenty that will). Want to know where to find a hidden shrine in a certain territory? Or what about the best recipes to cook your food resources? Virtually any aspect of the game can be accessed from the index which is organized alphabetically by keyword. Once you start using the book this way, it becomes evident that a lot of labor hours and care went into organizing and putting it together. But I do have a few minor quibbles. First, the print is just too small and the font choice is too thin. No, I'm not as young as I used to be but I'm also not totally blind. Yet, I often find I have trouble trying to read the tiny script during game play. Text just doesn't pop off the page as it should. I suppose the print size was a business decision to keep the size and weight of the book down. I can understand that since the book is already very thick as it is. Just know that if you play in a semi-dark to dark room (which many people do), you will be getting up to flick on a light to reference the book from time to time.My other quibble is the in-book photographs. As I indicated earlier, the quality of the screen captures is okay - but not great. Not really a big deal, though I think the screen shots could have been better in terms of color and vibrancy. What is a big deal is that these photos are again, way too small to be practically useful at times. The screen shots in the book are often used as a visual reference for the accompanying instructions. You will occasionally be frustrated by the fact that you just can't make out the necessary details in a given photo as provided. There are some (not many) times in the game where a clear, sharp picture is necessary to provide the visual guidance you want. It comes up just enough to be frustrating, but is not a deal breaker. So the book is great overall and well worth the $36 if you intend to play through Zelda BOTW. Just know that it does not come without a few little annoyances, hence the 4 star review instead of 5. Still, I think it's the best of what's out there in terms of a guide for Zelda BOTW.
